It Goes Like This, The Fourth, The Fifth, the Minor Fall, the Major Lift
Random thoughts: The term "fandom bicycle" really bothers me. I think because it's so crude. I mean, even if I ship a character with a lot of different characters, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not thinking, "everyone gets a ride!" It's just . . . I don't know, it seems connected with a lack of respect or something and seems to turn the whole equation into a wholly sexual one, when if you ship something, wouldn't there be more to it, like chemistry or something, or how their chemistry together is different than it would be with someone else, even if you see it as a wholly physical relationship. I don't really know. But then, I think tend to think fandom could use a lot more delicacy in terminology pretty much . . . all the time; I'm just kind of a prude that way. But this particular phrase really bothers me. I don't know.
I . . . have a lot of stuff to write. Wow. But I'm also done with the majority of my graduate school applications, which is awesome! And a huge load off my mind. I have just one major one left. I've also been working on a lot of original stuff lately, which is really exciting and feels great.
I'm so excited for Christmas! It's always been my favorite holiday, and I haven't had much time to appreciate it the last couple of years, which I do this year, and it's just awesome.
I want to write another America/England swing-dancing fic. Apparently I have yet to exhaust my thing for this particular topic. This one would be a wartime Christmas type story. But I'm telling myself I at least have to write my exchange fics first.
My poor sick dog is doing a ton better, and it looks like she'll stay with us for a while yet, anyway! I'm so happy and relieved.
Playing Beatles Rock Band nonstop for like two weeks had the unexpected result of me actually listening to guitar parts in songs now, instead of just listening to the song as a whole. Who knew?
