Dinner Theater
Hello everyone! Yes, I'm still kickin' around! I've been busier than I'd hoped lately, but this will, with luck, change very shortly.
I'm making two quick announcements of sorts. One being official business and the other being a silly little thing to keep people in a playful mood.
1. I'm still trying to figure out what to do about plays. This aspect of the game isn't coming together as I had originally planned. I need to sit down this evening and make a game plan and work it like a cover girl. (I don't think I can resist giving San Francisco a musical now, either. Heero must sing!) I will come up with something organized and coherent! I think I know what to do, it's just sitting down and putting all the steps together.
2. Okay, here's the goofy one. I'm writing about it now to see how receptive people are to it. Since we have a soundtrack covered (and an awesome soundtrack it is!), I thought of another angle I could cover. For those unfamiliar with Sakura Taisen, allow me to explain it is HUGE in Japan. It was big enough to have a Sakura Taisen themed restaurant. (I believe it's officially closed now, which makes me a sad panda.) The majority of the characters got a special dish and drink dedicated to them. You can see the menu here, but it's in Japanese. (I'm willing to offer translations for anyone who's interested and needs one.)
Now, here's my thing. I like looking up recipes and sharing them. Why I like doing this, I will never know. So I thought, "Hey, I could make an official menu for the game characters for fun." Everyone getting their own drink and dish that somehow reflects them or their country of origin. It's a fun idea I've been kicking around and wondered if people liked the idea of there being an "official restaurant" for our characters. I already have some ideas in mind and some recipes have already been collected. Would people like the idea of me making up this list and sharing recipes?
If it sounds fun, go ahead and toss me some ideas for your characters. Some people I already have covered for the most part. (Winx and Vocaloids were pretty easy. I based it on their favorite foods/food items. Well, Stella and Stormy might need some fine tuning.) I have ideas for the others and some things looked up, but I'm very open to changing them. So, go right ahead and give me some ideas if you think this is a fun idea.
