Ah...it's almost back to college for me. It will be nice to see the floormates again.
For Christmas, I got....
From Parents:
An XBOX plus two sports games that came with it
Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (GameCube)
Dance Dance Revolution Extreme (Playstation 2)
Halo 2 (XBOX)
Chessmaster (XBOX)
A pair of indoor shoes that were one size too big so we went to exchange it
From Dad's friend and her daughter:
Three bath towels for school
An advance reading copy of Ornament of the World by Maria Rosa Menocal
The Last Hero by Peter Forbath
A $20 gift card for Best Buy
And the day after we went shopping at Cherry Creek mall (first to return the slippers, then I wanted to look around, then we went to do the grocery shopping we normally do on Saturdays and to Best Buy). I ended up going to Foley's first for the slippers, then went to look around in the Mac store, Waldenbooks, and Electronics Botique, where I almost got a headset for the XBOX before Dad decided to wait till Best Buy to get one that was officially made, not made by a third party. So I decided to go grocery shopping before the Comissary closed, then we headed towards the Best Buy. Got the Halo-esque headset, and almost got World of Warcraft (they were both nearly $50. Since WoW is an online game and it's pay-to-play, and I'm paying for Ragnarok and technically will be getting XBOX Live....). Then I realized that I needed a communicator to plug the headset into the controller. Dad went to the nearest GameStop and got me one, which came with a microphone also. So I guess I'm not at too much of a loss in case I want to use another headset. Or if one breaks. Or if someone elses headphones on my floor break and they want to borrow mine for a bit. Ah well.
I was on Ragnarok with my merchant a couple of days ago, and I had over 100,000z...I gave a married couple in the game an emerald, and they gave me that amount--I was surprised. I've met some helpful and generous people amongst the crowd. I've received so much zeny several times I wish I could do something more...^.^; Well, I had two Gift Boxes and I sold them for 10,000z. Imagine my horror and dismay to remember and realize that they were worth ten times that and I could have been a very rich merchant. I still had some red stockings to trade in for a Gift Box and they're worth around 30,000z. Note to self: Price check these sort of things more often. I do with some of my weapons that I sell....
