A circular life has brought me back to my home city, Hull. Please pardon typing errors; I am typing this by phone as I have no internet here yet. Thank goodness for the 21st century and mobile internet.
It's kind of strange, living on my own, so far.
But visitors have been kind of numerous in ratio to the days I've
spent here. Two visitors for three days. That ratio will reduce
as time ticks on.
The flat itself is beautiful. What do you call this period?
Georgian? The area is gorgeous, with wide avenues and wooden
totem carvings dotted seemingly randomly along the road.
It's also the main party and multicultural quarter of hull.
The Hull that I grew up in was very monocultural.
Wasn't looking forward to going back to that.
So far this area beats the heck out of any part of Leeds that I've lived in. Kind of reminds me of Moseley in Birmingham. So that's good. Wow it's long winded typing this on my phone! Reading lj is pretty hard as well. Only housie and watts journals display properly. Okay so stopping now. Last thing to say:
The last time that my heart got broken, I remember sitting one sunny lunch hour in the yard of my favourite church in Spitalfields. I was so upset, couldn't stop crying when people weren't looking at me. But I noticed how amazing some of the architecture is round that way, and I imagined myself living alone in a little flat in a bohemian neighbourhood. Instead of being heart broken or having to compromise to try make someone else happy, I imagined that I would do whatever I wanted and probably have a lover instead of a boyfriend. The daydream made me filled with happy and I stopped crying so much.
I'm just saying.
