Mini Review: Flumpool - Unreal

Nov 18, 2008 09:19

This morning when I woke up, I discovered among my friends list, flumpool's debut(?) album, Unreal. I downloaded it and stuffed it on my ipod so that I could listen later. Well now, here I am at work wondering why in the hell I was so hyped up about the album.

Now, don't get me wrong. Flumpool is a very talented group. Tracks such as Hana ni Nare and Over the rain ~Hikari no Sashi~ are quite good. I could listen to them a lot. And it's no surprise to those who have listened to my streaming shoutcast all the way through that I really do love Hana ni Nare. On the whole, however, the album is less than what I expected it to be. I expected a much stronger feel all the way through not this... limp noodle of an album if that's really what it is.

The album, holds two instrumental tracks. Which makes it seem more like a large mini album than a real honest-to-god album. But to each their own. Groups have their own way of doing things.

For any m&m members, expect a download later on. (I'm at work atm.) And I'll even include samples in the post and you will see what I mean.
