new iPod Touch

So.. I got myself a new pressie. A nice new iPod Touch. But it has the firmware 2.1 on it. However, my huge problem is that MM isn't updated for the new iPod Touch firmware. (its name is Sakura - I was always saving that name for something special. And now I can use it. :p ).

Its quite time consuming to convert the flac tracks I have to mp3 (MM does this automatically on a supported iPod). So my question at the moment is for the people on my Flist that use iTunes and are running Windows.

Now I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium. I have iTunes 8 installed (because it was required to set up the iPod. Otherwise I'd have uninstalled it already). So...

How do you wonderful people get FLAC files recognized in your iTunes?
When syncing said FLAC files to your iPod does it automatically convert them to mp3?

If I can get iTunes to do this then I can use it in the meantime for shoving things onto Sakura.

Now, in no way am I going to switch to iTunes. MediaMonkey works great and allows for a hell of a lot more customization. Not to mention what runs flawlessly on a Mac kills a PC.

mediamonkey, i don't like mac, i need help, ipod touch, music, itunes sucks
