More Musings on the upcoming weekend
Don't read if you don't want to see the emo-ness.
So, my birthday falls this weekend. And like every other year before it it falls just before Father's Day.
My dad is a prick when it comes to Father's Day. We have to do something or he gets massively upset. This is true even if we can't afford it. One year we even had to give up half of our grocery money for the week (back when he got paid every week) so that he could have presents for Father's Day. (This is actually a lot harder than it seems when you have three kids, still in school, and therefore have no jobs.)
This year for my birthday I'm planning on buying groceries with my birthday money. But we will still have to do something for dad. By something, we mean something nice because the kiddies are older now and have jobs. Here's the reasons why we can't:
What dad will say when I go out and buy groceries: "That's what you wanted to do with your birthday money." >< Yeah... I think this qualifies as him being assy.

- Kris literally gave dad the majority of his paycheck. Thus shirking his own bills.
- I was not expecting vet visits, or buying food a couple days ago. And now gas prices have gone up. And neither my brother or I can afford gas right this second. I'd get a bike, but I don't think that I could bike 24 miles + a day just to get back and forth to work.
