last... week or so...
the last week or so has been... more or less mind blowing for me. so much has happened. here's a rundown for those of you intrested.
Sunday (father's day, the 17th)
I went swimming with my sister, who had a small pool party with just me, her, aunt sandra, her boyfriend robert, and my mom. then we proceeded to go back to her house to "get melanie's stuff" so that mel could come home for a bit. (she works w/ my aunt) when we get there melanie puts her hands over my eyes and says she has another present for me. so i'm all like okay and they walk me into this room and there are clothes everywhere! all for my trip to england! @___@ from what i can tell its about $400 worth. at least that's what momma's said. The most amazing part is that all of them fit! its really awesome. Sandra also threw in a gift card to get my hair done. and mentioned that my aunt Deann is gonna take me for a facial. I'm so not used to all this papering.
Monday (the 18th)
My gramma (henceforth called mom because that's just how it is) comes in town. We had talked previously about her helping me with a laptop. So we get together for lunch and go do that. As a result... I have a shiny brand spanking new HP DV9000 laptop. It cost me $1400 but it was really worth it. I only wish it had more of a hard drive. But not many notebooks have much in the way of hard drive space. But I can access all my data anyways so its not much of an inconvience. Still gonna have to get another external soon. See my new desktop here. And full specs are as follows (I know some people want to know):
1.73 GHz Centrino Duo processor
Nvidia GeForce 7600 Graphics Card with 256 MB
Running Windows Vista Home Premium
2 Gigs of RAM
Conexant Hi Def Audio (I didn't even know this was there o.o til like just now. I was wondering why my music was sounding so good)
If you wanna know more... ask. lol
I will say though, that Vista is a bit hard to get used to. So far so good though.
Tuesday and Wednesday pass relatively uneventfully
Thursday
Mom tells me that i have more clothes to go try on. cause sandra's apparently gotten quite a bit carried away. @_@ so much
Also Adreinne started talking to me agian! This is weird and good and other things. I'm not 100% sure on it at all. I'm kinda waiting for her to just up and stop talking to me agian once her college starts back up agian. But meh. Don't care too much about it right now. But we are gonna meet up a few times a week for walking in the park. (Stole the idea from the anita books!)
Friday
I'm just glad its friday. LOL
Today:
Made plans for clothes, and hair and other things being done. My aunt wants to see what i'm gonna look like when I head overseas in.... 49 days! ^_^
