COLLEGE SEMINAR TODAY.
Fume. Fume. Fumefumefume. MOTHER, IF YOU GET MAD AT ME FOR NOT TELLING YOU HOW I FEEL, AND THEN GET MADDER WHEN I DO TELL YOU, DON'T BLAME ME BECAUSE YOU ASKED. THAT IS UNREASONABLE and really stupid, I mean really. Really.
That expressed, the seminar itself was really good, although one of the speakers was a bit boring. All I remember was her going over every single illustrated cover she's ever done. Made some good points, but was putting me to sleep.
I went to the Cartooning/Illustration seminar, which wasn't what I had thought. I had thought this week was the Animation/Film seminar, but it was last Wednesday. It's my fault for not double-checking.
I had wanted to go to this one so it wasn't bad or a waste of time, I'm just bummed I missed the Animation one. The cartooning classes seemed exciting, although the fact that most people in these classes are professionals/adults who are already in the industry makes me feel little and childish. OH NOES.
Wandered around New York before going to SVA. Found a small Korean area. I'm not sure if there's an actual "Koreatown", BUT I FOUND THE CD STORE I SAW ON A JAPANESE TELEVISION SHOW. It is tiny and easily overlooked and perfect. Got some Cherry Filter and Hirai Ken CDs. Lots of stuff in a small area. Nice.
The guy obviously spoke more Japanese than English, and he kind of mumbled so when he would speak I couldn't understand him that well.
There was also a small smoothie bar (literally, it was tiny). Good stuff.
I have pictures from New York that I took on an actual camera, but it is late and I do not know where the camera is. I'll have to upload them tonight. They aren't that great since I didn't get to go to the busy areas, but whatever. I had a squirrel eat from my hand. That was cool.
