(no subject)
Vacation in florida is over, and im sitting alone in my house because my whole family is in the bahamas. it's weird to be in the house alone...it's definitely a lot of house for one person, and as much as my family drives me nuts at times, i kinda wish they'd come back and make noise. its so....quiet!
Going to Florida with Eric was so nice though. We went to my grandparents beach club a ton..and got lots of yummy food when we needed a break from the sun or surf (yes, i got my years supply of their chicken fingers hehe). We also went to St. Augustine...of course we had to pick the hottest day ever haha....and saw the fort and cute little shops. On the last weekend we went to my uncles beach house in Cedar Key. I love my Uncle Mick...for a lot of reasons lol. He treats me like a complete adult, tells me the truth about my dad's teenage and early adult years (oohhh man did i get some dirt! hahah), and he has the coolest houses. Yes..i said houses..plural. He's a lawyer and so is his wife..so lucky him haha. Let's see.... we also hung out with my two cousins Brock and Chase (brock is my age and chase is 20) which was awesome since i hardly get to see them anymore. It was also good cuz Eric had some guys to hang out with. For instance, one of the days we went to the beach, the waves were so bad from a tropical storm that i refused to go in...so Eric chilled with Chase catching waves haha. Since we stayed with my nana, we had to be complete angels while she was around...and sleep in different rooms..but we worked it out. Btw...my nana has two cats...one named pelle doesn't have back paws..and the other, rya, only has three legs because she got caught in the engine of a car. it's kind of depressing actually lol...but they're cute cats..even if they're neurotic as hell.
My nana let us use her car the whole time since she doesn't drive much anymore, and it is the slowest thing i have ever driven. I guess the fact that it's an '89 toyota explains it's sluggishess. We'd be going up a hill at 35mph and Eric would be like, "floor it jen" and i'd look at him and be like I AM!! so then we'd both start rocking back and forth trying to help it go faster..yelling...come on you piece of shit!!! People driving by probably thought we were crazy hehe ; ).
And then there was the wave that farted. LOL oh god....i don't even think i can explain it...but i'll try. Eric was holding me up facing him, so my legs were around his waist, when this HUGE wave came by and i started screaming for him to put me down. he didn't put me down cuz he wanted to torture me, so this wave came crashing by (we just missed it crashing on us)..but we heard this noise that sounded like a gigantic fart...and at the same time we both looked at each other, and said "did you just FART??" and then jumped away from each other cracking up. Turns out neither of us did..but we never found the source of the noise. So...farting waves....hahah : D
It was just so much fun..especially getting away from both sets of parents (even if we did have my nana to watch out for). We're hoping to go to Barbados for spring break....but now it's really up in the air because of Eric's car situation (he can't get one until winter break..and then he might have to pay for some of it. But..im trying to look on the bright side. At least he'll have his license back in a week or two. Moral of story? Adopt a highway signs are BAD!! lol
I'll be here until the 14th or 15th...cuz then im going down to richmond to help eric move into his new apartment!!!! yay! Hopefully by then i'll have a new cell (same number of course..but different service provider) so you can call me wherever, whenever. hah.
oh, and i almost forgot. my dad broke down and put 2g's into my blue car...so hopefully it'll last till next summer cuz it runs like new! hehe. so no new car for now...but hey..u gotta love the Blue Dar. haha
