Title: Artemis Fowl
Author: Eoin Colfer
My Grade: A

I enjoyed this book, I thought it was pretty cute. However, I was a bit surprised by how little Artemis Fowl actually appeared in it. I'm pretty sure the characters of Holly, Commander Root, and even Foaly (who I adored!) had more dialogue than he did. Also, though not surprisingly, Artemis was not exactly a likeable character, but I knew he would be more of an anti-hero before I started. I'm still trying to figure out his reasons for being a criminal... because it's just something his family did? What I got was this: Artemis Fowl is a millionaire who's family used to be billionaires. So he kidnaps a fairy / leprechaun for ransom so he can be a billionaire again. Is that right or did I miss something here? I'm intrigued though I will definitely continue on with the series.
