"Thin Air" by Storm Constantine

Title: Thin Air
Author: Storm Constantine
My Grade: B

For starters, I was a little disappointed when I began reading and discovered it wasn't a gay love story! The girl in this relationship was named Jay, so naturally I assumed she was a he. Darn. Oh well. Anyway, Jay, a music journalist meets and falls in love with a rock star named Dex (who’s totally modeled after Richey Edwards). Dex is a bit screwed up in the head and one day he literally disappears into thin air. Eventually Jay moves on with her life and even gets a new lover. But a few years after his disappearance there are sightings that Dex has been spotted around London again. This naturally stirs tons of emotions in Jay, as she hasn't totally gotten over him. So, she tries to find him. Then the book gets all freaky with unexpected fantasy/sci-fi elements, parallel worlds and whatnot. It also ended rather abruptly just when a new plot twist presents itself. I smell a sequel!
