Author: Henry Rollins
Final Thought: Not What I Expected

Punk rock legend Henry Rollins is the type of guy that you can't quite judge at first glance. To be honest he kind of looks like a brute, but he actually has an intelligent brain in that scowling head of his. This book is a collection of his writings from the early 90's. It is comprised of not only journal entries but poetry, essays, and other weird-ass things I can't begin to explain. This book wasn't quite what I expected. I've seen his spoken word stuff and he's very funny. This book didn't quite have that wit, it had far more angst than I anticipated. Despite that, I've always liked the guy so I'll probably give another one of his books a try.
