Day 9: Favorite friendship
Sigh there are so many good friendships. Basically everyone and there partners have amazing friendships.
I think I'm going to go with Ken and Daisuke here. I'm pretty sure Daisuke was Ken's first friend. After Osamu died, when he was little, Ken took on the burden of being his brother in the eyes of his parents. The already quiet boy, got quieter and locked himself away from the world. Also having a bajillion fangirls because he was a boy genius probably also contributed to him being antisocial.
So anyway Ken snaps and goes to the dark side. Becomes the Digimon Kaiser creating a reason for there to be digidestined for the first arc of the season. I must say Ken's pretty strong considering he got infected with the dark spore when he was little shouldn't have stolen that digivice from Osamu's drawer even if it was yours in the first place. Also this same plot device screws Yuu and Nene over in season six and doesn't succumb to being controlled until the season starts this totally wasn't for the sake of plot or anything
Anyway, I've digressed. So Daisuke and co save Ken and turn him good again. YAY! Things do not go good for out buddy Ken. While I don't remember Kari and T.K.'s why yes I use a combination of dub and sub names. Depends on how I think of them and which sounds better. Is shot canon reactions, they probably didn't trust Ken. Kari having the crest of light = darkness is the worst thing ever. And T.K. has his vendetta against darkness and its evil forces ever since Patamon got screwed in episode 13 of Adventure totally wouldn't have happened if they hadn't planned a 13 episode season. Due to good ratings they continued. Why yes the have seven seasons of 50 odd episodes Iori just flat out doesn't trust Ken and is the last person to come around to liking him. I'm pretty sure darkness and evil played into it Kouichi is always screwed in any cross over fic. How to explain to the Adventure crew that there such a thing as good darkness. Good thing Kouji is a good younger brother capable of destroying anyone who hurts Kouichi And Miyako, umm I don't remember but she was probably stuck between her fangirling for Ken and the fact that he was the digimon Kaiser. Tough life there.
Daiskue is like the only person who excepts Ken right away. The friendship that grows from that is beautiful and long lasting. Ken and Daisuke grow so close that Ken basically becomes the second in command to Daisuke even though he's only been with the group for half the season. Perhaps their friendship evolved too fast but I like the fact that for once it wasn't constant fights and then friendsalthough I will always love Takuya and Kouji's fights. They pulled it off wonderfully and still became friends.
