Greetings form San Francisco

You know, it was quite sad. As I was heading to the train station this morning, I saw a place for bankruptcy and divorce, and it was advertising, “divorce starting at $99.” I also saw a lot of homeless people; more than I’m used to seeing, at any rate. I’m not usually downtown, and they’ve kicked all the bums of our school campus.
Had another weird dream. Can’t remember it anymore, but I rather enjoyed it. It was some sort of fantasy adventure.

Anyway, I got to San Francisco early, and had to wait for Rick. We got over to his dorm, and it’s much more wonderful when none of the other idiots are around. I did the dishes, yup.
After that, we did random stuff like playing Magic: the Gathering and watching Lucky Star. Then we went to Chinatown to get some fabric for his Subaru outfit. It was cheap, but the Chinese were kind of frightening. The buses were horribly crowded in Chinatown-the people just swarm the buses. And there was a guy who really stank. Then we wandered to borders and had a tasty drink, and finally back to Rick’s place. Oh, and I took some fun pictures, too. I also need to film Rick’s weapon collection.

Anyway, I watched Sin City and helped Rick with his hakama, then I got him to show me some basic embroidery. He’s had this pattern for the Hufflepuff emblem that he was going to make for a scarf but never finished, so now I’m doing it. I’m practicing doing all the stitches uniformly. I had to learn the cross-stitch first, then figure out how to make it all go in one direction (I tended to make each row opposite). I also need to start working on the finer detail work.

I’m thinking I’d like to try making the Capulet and Montague coat of arms, but that would be difficult. Still, I want to try. I also gave some thought to doing the flowers for Jigoku Shojo’s kimono, then I thought it might look better painted on.

Also, Rick’s dorm scares me slightly because you can hear people in the other places next door going up and down their stairs, in and out their doors, ect. So it always sounds like people are in the building, when they’re not.

Hmm, and lastly…I like being here with Rick. I can’t really explain it, but I like just sitting around and doing stuff…even just cleaning up and doing dishes. There’s something homely about it…but, you know, not like an actual home where there are annoying brothers and grandmothers.
