“Lies…”
Tsurara stared around her. Indeed she had a small desk in this office but it was good enough. The busy people outside bustled from one end to the other.
“So this is the Crime Investigation Department” she thought.
“SUGOI ne, all the workers here, soo kakoi!”
She stared at the pile of unfinished work stacked up on one desk. She had been awing so much on the others, she completely forgot her work.
“Yosh, lets do this, Gambateh Tsurara” she whispered softly as she began. Indeed the work was tedious. After she began her work time flew by. By the time she had finished her part; she looked at her watch and felt her jaw drop. It had been almost six hours since she had started. “Well at least it pays” she muttered, feeling tired.
She made her way home after wishing the others good bye. They were warm but not friendly. Well they were like ten years older than her…. why would they be. They were also very experienced crime detectives and lawyers. After seeing such brutal incidents and living in them, it was hard to be normal again. “Ah…just like…”
She stared at Kurosaki’s house. It was on the way to her apartments. She kept staring for a while…until she heard a strange voice behind her. “Eh…” she turned around quietly.
“Hi…Tsurara” it was Hasegawa Ryosuke. The man from the bank.
“Did you follow me” she let out sternly. It was past seven at night. And that was no time for him to be around here.
“Ie…of course not. I was just wondering if …well..We have been having a few drinks since that day haven’t we.” He smiled.
She nodded quietly. Tsurara hadn’t refused when she was invited for a drink that day. Especially after Yukari’s continuous nagging she decided to actually go out with Ryosuke. He was not a bad man. Very sweet and kind of shy. Ina way, he did not reveal much about of himself. He seemed to be very fond of her, and praised her alot. Perhaps, by seeing him she could forget.....well that was her initial intention. However, he seemed to be a very nice young man.
“I ...well to be honest…I bought you dinner. I was waiting outside your apartment. But you were late, so I hurried up the street. Your old home?” He questioned looking at the wooden building.
“Un…”she smiled nodding. She was a bit relieved.
“Sugoi ne, to think you survived in this conked out building” he said looking at it.
“What a woman” he smiled. This made her laugh a bit. “Ikou…gomen ne I made you wait” she replied holding his arm.
He nodded with a smile and they made their way up the street. A man came out from below the stairs, staring at them. “Conked out…”he muttered angrily.
“I’ll conk you out…what’s she doing with him anyway” Kurosaki looked at their now invisible silhouette s disappearing down the street. I know him. Chotto…”
He hurried upstairs and into his room. Tossing some documents aside he held up Minamoto Satonari’s picture. It was him. The man with Tsurara just now. He felt his jaw clench and his hand tighten into a fist and crumple Minamoto's picture. First Tanabe and now Tsurara. For sure he knew, tomorrow he would end Minamoto Satonori's case. Permanently.
