DUAL LENS part 9 update
Jump sat round a table in a Maid Cafe. Chinen was so excited that he entered before anyone else and sat down in his spot dragging poor Ryu inside by the hand whose tummy was growling. Ryosuke was the last to enter. “NAnde....why in the world are we here...?”
Yabu smiled. “Ne Ryo kun, relax we’re just hangin. Wanted to try something different. “
Ryosuke made a sour face but Yuto and Keito pulled him in between. TAkaki smiled at a maid passing buy who was wearing an extreamly cute outfit.She blushed lightly and walked away silently with her head bowed. Hikaru attempted to do the same, but possessive Yabu pulled him away from a very shocked waitress. “NAnde...?”
“You flirting, how could you?” Yabu said pouting fakely.
HIkaru grumbled and sat beside him. “Why is it so difficult to be married...?”
YAbu nodded putting on his puppy eyes forcing INoo to spit out water onto poor Ryutaro who was glaring at the menu. His tummy was calling. Ryu looked up drenched. “What.....the.......”
JUMP’s table roared into laughter. Ryosuke smiled. Hikaru and Yabu always managed to cheer em up, Yuto thought. They really were taking care of JUMP. Chinen pushed himself beside Yamada who looked at him surprised. “So watcha ordering, im starving, maybe i’ll order oooh NORI! And oden...hmmm”
Yamada smiled. Takaki put an arm around him and yawned. Yuto grinned. JUMP had finally accepted Yamada as a leader. In fact they treated him nicely and happily. He sighed finally relaxed that one case had silenced down. AS Yamada was about to order his usual “STRAWBERRY MILK SHAKE” and little Ryutaro was jumping about a huge OKONOMIYAKI, a lovely looking waitress dressed in MAID”S outfit came to take their order. “KOnabawa...”
“KOnbawa...” JUMP rep-lied.
“Watashi wa Akahana Rei dess, I’ll be serving you today, yorishiku onegaishimas”
Yamada eyes widened and Yuto spat out his water in shock. They both stood up so fast that the other members jolted back in shock. “REI!”
Rei’s sweet smile vanished as she looked up. “Eh? Do i know you? Did i do something?”
YAbu stared at Yuto and Yamada both in great curuiosity. Whilst CHinene was looking at them and controlling his giggles...” Kawai, they couldn’t control themselves ne, i guess you’re too pretty Rei san....”
Rei flushed crimson. “Ie ie...gomen ne, this is a cafe....and Im just gonna give ya food okay.....urm...so order now? Onegai...” Rei said making a puppy face.
“Its my first day, and Hey Say JUMP, turns out to be my first customer...have mercy ne...onegaishimas....”
Takaki winked smiling and pulled Yuto down hard, Hikaru did the same on the other side with Ryosuke. “Daijobu.....as long as we get fed...”
Rei’s eyes grew slim as she smiled broadly.
“HAI!”

Yuto walked silently behind JUMP. He had made the biggest mistake of his life. Not only did he humiliate himself in front of JUMP especially Chinen, Keito and TAkaki who kept mimicking him and whispering “I LOVE GIRLS sincerely YUTO” all the way home. But he had risen a suspicion in Yamada. Yamada had been the most surprised to see YUto blurt out Rei’s name. Yuto had felt Ryosuke’s eyes on him all the time throughout dinner. As they moved to their respective modes of transport, something happened that Yuto had expected. Yamada pulled him by the hand gently... “Chotto matte...let’s go home together ne?”
“Un...”
The night was eerie. Yuto and Yamada walked slowly through the dark streets of Tokyo. Yamada broke the silence.
“How do you know her?”
“Eh..who?”
“You said her name like that...like you knew her....”
Yuto stopped walking. “Oh, you know her too?” he asked making his accent sound as fake as possible. Yamada stared. His face was as gentle as always, but in his eyes, Aoki was awakening. Yuto realised, how possessive he had become of Rei.
“I know her because...she’s a florist ne...down the street...quite far...once i went there..I saw her....ther i mean....working” Yuto replied forcing his voice not to stutter. Yamada nodded silently. “I see...I met her there...actually Yuto....I love her...”
“EH?” Yuto said looking taken aback. Yamada smiled. His eyes glew happily. “Dont tell them ne, but she’s my girlfriend...”
“Ryosuke you sly puppy, you should’ve told us ne....”
Yamada smiled. Yuto heaved a breath of relieve, Ryosuke temperament became simple again. Not the vicious Aoki.
Then Yamada began. The story about how they met. His name being Aoki Ryo. He told Yuto everything and even how much Rei meant to him. Yuto teased him occasionally on romance... “Sugoi ne Ryosuke, now you know how to be with girls ne...hmm iguess i deserve the credit ne...the cupid...hehe”
Yamada laughed holding onto Yuto’s arm. “Eh? YUTO? CUPID? I thought you were James Bond or something?”
“Ie ie....whatever ne...”
They both laughed and walked up the street. “Ne Yuto lemme tell you just one thing...”
“Nani?” Yuto said smiling broadly.
“The day I lose Rei, to someone else, I’ll kill him.”
Yuto stopped walking. “Eh...what are you saying?”
Yamada turned around. “I’m serious, she means too much to me. All of a sudden. I don’t know why. I just....can’t spend a day without talking to her...she gave me sanctuary when i was in pain...like...my guardian Angel...I Love her so much. I don’t like feeling so different...demo...its just happening....”
Yuto stared. His own heart was dying. It was in pain. “ Why is my heart so painful? Nande?” It was as if a thousand needles were piercing the gateway on his heart which he had opened for Rei. It was being shut. Painfully.
Yamada turned around. “Just saying that, I won’t lose her ne, to anyone or at any cost.”
Yuto just stared into Ryo’s eyes. A strange fear erupted inside him.. As if there was no more air to breathe in. Ryosuke’s words, his expression, his confessions, it was as if...................only one conclusion this Tantei could make.
“He knows...”
