Summary: "I only have a week, and if I don’t confess to him, I will regret it ...
Ueda Tatsuya is a beautiful and rich young man, but even if he is rich, he has an incurable disease that cannot be cured. His doctor has told him that he only had about a week to live. Yet he hasn’t even found his one and only precious love. But he loves a young man named Nishikido Ryo. However Ueda doesn't know how to express his love for him.
Ueda is so afraid of rejection, so he ends up not confessing to the person he loves. He already has his best friends supporting him, helping him to continue living. But little does Ueda know that Ryo already loves him; ever since the first time he saw Ueda. Ryo is afraid because this is the first time he has experienced this feeling of love, and he doesn’t know how to deal with it. He as well didn't confess his love to Ueda because he's afraid of Ueda’s rejection. To Ryo, Ueda is very beautiful and kind, so he just watches him from a far.
One day when Ryo’s walking towards his class, he passes by Ueda's class, and hears Ueda and Kame talking about Ueda's disease.
“Kame~ I'm afraid. I only have one week to live, and if I don't confess my love to him, I 'll regret it. What should I do?” Ueda asks.
“You should confess to him, Tat-chan. Don't worry about him rejecting you. Afterwards, I'll comfort you first, then kill him,” Kame said.
“But what if he-” Ueda started.
“No buts and what ifs. You have to confess to him tomorrow afternoon no matter what, and if you don't want to confess, I'll drag you to him and lock the two of you inside the storage room or janitor closet. Which one do you prefer?” Kame asked.
After Ryo hears what Kame has said, his face starts to get red and he feels like he wants to destroy everything. But then he remembers that Ueda said that he only had a week to live. He decides that he will announce his love for Ueda in front of the teachers and students during assembly in the morning no matter what.
----------------------------------------------------------
"Before we end this assembly, Nishikido Ryo wants to say something,” the principal announces.
Ryo then walks to the stage. Nervously, he looks at Ueda and takes the mike.
“I'm in love with you, Ueda Tatsuya. Please go out with me,” Ryo says, shocking everyone.
Ueda hears Ryo's confession and goes on to the stage like the principal asked him to. Ryo and everyone wait nervously for Ueda's reply.
When Ueda says, “Yes, I'll go out on a date with you, Ryo,” all the boys clap their hands because of Ueda's bravery and most of the girls shed tears of happiness for the new born couple.
Ryo hugs Ueda and when he is about to kiss him,
“Ehem, we are still here. I was just about to tell you students may go back to your respective classrooms now and continue your lessons.”
Ryo and Ueda daydream about each other during the rest of the lessons, and they can't wait till the lessons finish, so they can go home together.
After lessons, Ryo waits for Ueda near his class, and they go home together.
That night, Ryo and Ueda make love, and afterwards they sleep together, cuddling in Ueda's bed. Instead of being tired after the whole session, Ueda keeps talking non-stop, remembering the day he and Ryo met-the first time he saw Ryo, Ueda fell in love with him but was scared of being rejected. They laugh together, enjoying each other’s warmth.
“Ryo, I'm glad to be together with you, even if it is just for a short time, and thank you for loving me. Now I can die peacefully. But remember that I love you, always and forever,” Ueda says.
“No, don't said that," Ryo says as he hugs Ueda.
"I want you to promise me something, Ryo,” Ueda says.
"What is it?” Ryo asks.
"I want you to find your happiness after I die. Can you do that for me?”
"Love, don't say the word die. You can't leave me all alone. I can't live without you by my side. So I can't promise you that,” Ryo replies.
"Please Ryo,” Ueda begs, and Ryo finally nods. Ueda smiles and kisses him on the lips.
"Go to sleep now. I'm sure you're tired, and I love you too always and forever,” Ryo says while trying to hold his tears that started to fall. Ryo knows that night Ueda will be gone, so he hugs Ueda tightly, but not so tight that Ueda wouldn’t be able to breathe.
The next day, Ryo wakes up, and he realises that the body beside him had lost its warmth. He can't help it but to cry. After about thirty minutes he gets up and lets their friends and families know about Ueda's death. When all of them come, they all cry while Ueda's parents prepare all the things needed for Ueda's death ceremony.
His classmates, friends, relatives, teachers, family and Ryo are wearing black clothes and crying.
His classmates tell everyone that Ueda is the best classmates they could have ever had, that they are thankful to have met him and that they will never ever forget about him.
His teachers say that he was the best student that they could have ever had, a smart and a kind student and that they will never ever forget about him.
His friends and best-friend say that they are lucky to have been Ueda's friend because whenever they had problems, he helped them. He was kind and caring, the best friend that they could have had.
His parents thank all the people that made Ueda happy until his last breath. Especially, they are thankful to Ryo. Ueda was a kind son. Even though he was the one suffering because of his disease, he would smile and tell everyone that he was fine.
The last one who speaks is Ryo. He tells them about the first time he saw Ueda, the first time he fell in love with him and the ways he used to catch Ueda's attention. He is grateful that he was able to confess to Ueda before Ueda died, that he knows that Ueda loved him too. He also promises that he will try his best to find happiness just like he promised to Ueda.
Then everyone says their goodbye to Ueda as they burn his body.
