Dealing with the wickedest witch in the west. Argggggggggggggggggggggggh!
So let me start by saying, despite the fact I'm pregnant and considered high risk because of my miscarriage history, I have not reduced the amount of work I do. I have, spread out the work, instead of doing it all at once so instead of having days where I'm super stressed out

LOL I would love to see the confused look on her face if I gave her some cheese.
You deserve an award for reading through my entire post btw!
You're totally right though I didn't owe her any explanations and next time, she'll just get the no, and no explanation other than go take it up with my boss if she has an issue with the amount of work I do.
Which is the only advice he could offer when I talked to him about it. Other than making excuses for her (which really hacked me off) he said to just send her his way if she's being a spoiled witch to me.
She's applied for other jobs and might be leaving, so that's his stance on the whole situation. Well she's probably leaving soon anyway -_-
When it comes to confrontation, his balls are sitting in a jar somewhere. Its ridiculous the lengths he'll go to, to not have to deal with someone who is being an issue.
Unfortunately said witch is very high up on the food chain. So I'm reduced to hoping either she takes one of the out of state jobs she applied for or I get the other job I applied for at the U.
Personally I wouldn't mind the latter, no more animal work, which would be great for my allergies, plus a nice big pay rise!

Even if she's very high up on that food chain, there must be an HR manager that you can speak to.
Try recording what she says, too, that way it's not just her word against yours, it's a recording against her. If you have an iPhone, it should have a voice memo recording function. Put the recorder on, mute the sounds, and then press the button to put the phone on stand-by-- it'll still record; I have proof of that by accident, believe it or not. Another phone... I'm not so sure. Either way. Same thing with your boss. Record that conversation, too. Another insurance policy, if you will.
You can't actually guarantee that she's leaving soon. Optimism is fine, but in the meantime, take steps to protect yourself and your baby.
