was amazing.....Friday after school, i gathered both of my suitcases and headed out into Clear Creek with the other magnet kids. We got on the bus at around 5:30, since it was late for about 1 1/2 hours. So we were off, we took the crappiest fwy's to get there (dumbass 60W/5N with their shitty traffic >_<) When we transfer from the 5N to the 2N, we saw a sign that said (ANGELES CREST HWY CLOSED DUE TO SNOW). I was like...OMFG!!! ^________^, but then again..the bus driver panicked, pulled over, called the campsite to see if this was true. So she called, the people in the camp told her that the roads were wet for the first 1500 feet, but got kinda icy towards the top of the mountain and to just go for it. So we get to the foot of the mountain and the roads are barely wet. We get on Angeles Crest HWY, and it gets narrower and narrower, not to mention even foggier. So for about an hour, we go at 10 mph up the road cuz it was dark/foggy as hell, i swear it felt like forever. Finally, we were almost there since we reached the 3000 ft altitude mark. Some random guy in an SUV behind us told us that the camp was about 1/4 mile away, even though we couldnt see shit and we were all happy lol. So we get there around 8:30 cuz of all the confusion, and its raining ice and theres SNOW ON THE GROUND!!! :D (since it was the first time i saw it.) Camp people settled us in, gave us a small night tour and were off to bed.

Saturday: Camp guy woke us up at about 7:30am, and we headed off to the playground for a bit, then got some breakfast. Afterwards, we went on our first hike down to the canyon and into the creek. Hike was about 2500 feet down, but didnt feel that long. Was very surprised that my ears didnt hurt that much because of the altitude. We went down to the creek and it was so damn rocky, but wasnt too active. So we hiked back up from the creek back to the camp on a loooooong ass trail that i think was like a mile or two long that seemed like it went on forever, but in like 25 mins, we got there. Afterwards, we went up for lunch, and then hiked some more to go for some archery. It was pretty awesome, but most of my friends there made it seem deadly lolol. After that, guys took a shower and then we headed out to the lodge for some texas hold em and know every damn thing about it now. My english teacher decided to drive up from Pasadena to the campsite to surprise us randomly and damn we were surprised, but he didnt stay long. After that, we were off for the night hike. The night hike was pretty damn interesting. We got a 23 yr old girl as our tour guide and most of the way, i ended up leading the group even though i didnt know the trail lololol. So we got to the top of the hill during the night hike and we play a game. One where the group forms a circle around two people and the group makes forest noises while one person in the middle acts like a bat and another like a moth and the bat was blindfolded. So it was my turn to act like the moth, and the group(forest) was making an assload of pokemon sounds and i was like wtf?!?!, so i went along with it while Angie(the bat, not my sis)was still looking for me, i got behind her and yelled out BUUUULLLLBAAAASAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUR!! and that shut everyone up..lol. After that, we went down the hill for a little bit and then it was finally time for the solo hike. The guide walked ahead of us for like 30 seconds and then told our teacher to let us take the same path, but 30 seconds apart. I was first after the guide, i ran through the trail, caught up to her, made sure that she didnt hear me and pinched her in the waist scaring the living crap out of her. =D So she yelled at me for a while, but it was damn worth it. =P Afterwards, we went back to our cabins and called it a day.

Sunday: We woke up at about 6:45 am cuz the counselor overslept and started packing at 7. Headed out for some breakfast and the snowstorm began to pick up!!! =D We went inside the lodge for a bit then went back outside to play in the snow. Then finally, it was time to leave the camp. We got a small tour of the animals that were contained in the camp for exhibition, which were a hawk, a bobcat and a turkey vulture. After that, we went on our final hike, which was freakin looooong, but it led us to where the bus was gonna pick us up. We said our gooodbyes to the counselors and then we were back on our way to LA ( but technically, we never left LA. lol) So i meet up with my parents at school at around 1:30, and we go to a restaurant close to my school that was pretty cool.
