So yesterday, mom angie and i went to the ecstasy exhibit in downtown LA (1st and central) and it was just facsinating.. Most of the artworks were meant to portray the rather odd effects of this night drug. There were lots of black painted rooms that had strange lights and images that would make someone clastrophobic, but fascinated at the same time. There were also several pitch white rooms that were just creepy, like one that had a painting on a wall and its edges rounded so you'd think it went on forever. So many abstract paintings and figures that would just confuse the fuck out of you. Plenty of optical illusions like objects on a table that gave a strange feeling of insanity by you thinking that they're moving in circles. The one that intrigued me the most was the matrix effect. An innumerable amount of floating LED green lights in the shape of a 3 dimentional grid that makes you use your outer senses..
exhibit ends on the 20th, its a must! =P
