IMAX -- fan-tastic! Get it?
Today Colleen and I went to see OotP on the IMAX screen in Harrisburg, PA. We both agree that two scenes were definitely extended. The first scene was Severus's Worst Memory. In the normal theatrical version, neither of us remembered seeing the scene that long. We don't remember Severus actually being lifted into the air. It seemed MUCH longer in the IMAX version. Scene number two was Sirius's death. I vividly remember Bellatrix screaming or at least shouting "Avada Kedavra"; I don't remember a whisper. I definitely do not remember the spell just "plopping" onto Sirius; it seemed like he deflected it, and that's not a weak spell performed by a weak wizard.
I stared at knitting oddities this time around. I noticed the end of Luna's grey scarf that she wears in Hogsmeade; I noticed the cables and ribbing on Ginny's sweater at the end of the movie; I drew pictures of both and will post to hp_knitting later. Why does Hermione wear such intricate fair-isle sweaters? Why?
