Progress report

Kimono 1 (for racerxmachina): DONE. Beautiful stripey fabric that almost completely disguises the piecing I had to do to make it work. You'd think six yards of 45" wide fabric would be enough for one outfit for anyone, but nooooo... I am left with almost nothing in the way of scraps. I love this kimono, and think RXM does as well, because of how much inspiration it required, and how well it came out.

Kimono 2 (for Wonderful Husband): In-progress. Discovered that the fabric for it has a 5" repeat. Discovered this because there is a 5" tuck at the waist and when I ironed it flat, the leaves matched. Laughed aloud and called Wonderful Husband downstairs to look.

Went to swing dance class tonight, ironed out the chicken walk and learned another new move that we don't know the name for yet. Corned beef has been in the crockpot all day, and we just tossed veg (cabbage + carrots + corn) into a pot on the stove, so food should be ready soon. So for now I go sew on the other sleeve.
