There are two parts to this dream. The first dream involves me being inside a world that is similar to a racing game. For some reason, I kept associating this world with Mario Kart 64 in my head, but I know that this "game" was far more uhh... realistic. And dangerous.
Anyhoo, how things in this world work is that you must race. The racing area is in a very grungy, dirty, twisted area. The background scenery reminds me of the Gardiner in downtown Toronto (the tall columns and the roads built on top and all). The race "track" involves driving and maneuvring around these columns and onto other areas that are almost like roller coaster tracks except... side ways? You enter these wooden tracks and they begin to loop except the track is tilted so it's rung around a giant hole. You have to accelerate to gain enough centrifugal force (if I remember teh physik correctly) so that you can enter the track and drive your way around the loop and out of the area so you don't fall in the hole and die.
After you finish a race, you receive points based on your performance. In this world, the points is like a form of currency, similar to those tickets at Chuck E. Cheese or the way we had to bring in stamps for certain goods at the anime fair for the Fan Art Club. Also, what I find really funny and disturbing at the same time, is that there is an 8½ x 11 piece of paper taped to a bus stop that lists out all that you can purchase in this world. The font size was like... 48. So there was around... 7 or 8 things on that list. Food, water, a house, and a few other necessities were ranged from about 10pts to 500 pts. At the top of the list though, was 'commodity' that you can get for 1000 pts. The word 'commodity' in this world is associated with release from sexual tension (LOL?). I don't know if it just happens magically after you trade in your points or whatever, but this first part ends here.
The second part was strange (and yet again, JE related). For some reason, there was an event being held at my old junior high school, Samuel Hearne. Some talent who supposedly auditioned for Johnny's had gotten in and is known as something like The Cantonese JE Boy or some other horrible, cheesy title like that. Anyway, in preparation for this event, my cousin Cindy was in charge of the entire show with other acts lined up.
So during rehearsal, I was then told that I have to do backup something for this JE talent. His performance doesn't involve any singing but rather more of a martial arts show with a sword. So I was then told that I had to do backup martial arts dancing. With a sword. But I'm the only one doing backup for that act? ?_?
Lol, come to think of it, this reminds me of Henry Lau from SuJu 'cept the JE talent in my dream has far less... well... talent (though that's a given when it comes to JE xD).
Anyhoo, I somehow managed to pull it off. This JE guy isn't even cute. And after rehearsal, I walked home.
That's about it.
So instead of wasting the entire day today like I did yesterday, I've made a list of things I could do:
- write cover letter and send job app to the archives
- make some more button designs, maybe start planning the web layout while I'm at it
- work on kanji (since I got that Basic Kanji Book Iwai-sensei had recommended to us anyway)
- practice piano (currently working on Life by YUI and True Light from DNAngel)
- maaaybe get started on painting, though I still need sandpaper to sand down the canvas after I gesso it
- work on my portion of the fanbook that Ryoko (
masuda_takahits) will be sending to the JE Family Club for Massu's birthday :x
- work on Kusano Akira cosplay (and fix Akira's school bag! D:)
I'm planning to bug my mom about going to get our hair cut this weekend. I still don't quite know what I want. Maybe I'll just leave it up to the hairdresser. :/
Also, I need to remember to bring a few things home when I go back to Hamilton for the BBQ:
- tablet
- Japanese text + notebook
- guitar
- web layout sketchbook
- apricot face scrub
- flip-flops
- flat tweezers
Hmm. That is all.
Oh also, I'm starting to really like Last Friends, even though Ryo is a big DV jerk.
