Do you want to be an anal bead or a dragon, man?

So, my day has been pretty eventful. My morning started off with arguing with Framingham secretaries over paper work that I sent in a couple weeks ago that they never received. After getting that all sorted out later on in the afternoon around 2 I went on a bike ride to Kent Falls.

Like always I chained my bike to a tree and proceeded to hike up the trail to the top of the falls. Just as I'm getting to the top of the falls I noticed a guy about 15 or 16 sitting on the side of the trail in swim trunks holding his foot. I stopped and asked him if he was okay. Well! evidently this kid decided it would be fun to try and show off to some girls he didn't even know and climb up the top of the falls and walk around. For those who don't know how the falls are set up, they work like this: Kent falls has three main falls with smaller falls that kind of form steps but are to small to really count as major drops. The first fall at the bottom gives way to a pool where you can swim and all that. Your allowed there, and only there, to swim. the second fall area isn't that bad but is a fairly high current and you shouldn't swim there as if you get caught in the current it's a 20-25 foot drop. Now the third fall is the biggest drop, about 40-50 feet with very unstable rocks that are wet and slippery. This guy fell about 40-50 feet into a pool of water that's only about 10-15 feet deep and very rocky. somehow he managed to get away with, from what I could tell, only a broken and dislocated big toe, a gash in his heel that went to the bone (it had rocks stuck in it but I didn't want to mess with them without anything to clean the wound with) and possibly a few broken bones in the foot itself. He'll have to get at least 4 stitches in the heel minimum along with a walking boot for his foot. He was lucky he didn't break both his legs from that fall. He wouldn't let me call him an ambulance because he didn't want to get into trouble for climbing the falls. I basically did what I could to help him out before his dad showed up. And here's what really blew me away: his dad is a knee surgeon. His dad was able to take care of him but I wound up helping them down the trail and telling them where to go to get the stitches done (they were vacationing here from Jersey apparently). This whole thing took up about 40 minutes so I was running behind my schedule.

I went into Torrington to see Pineapple Express with Erik. It was a lot better then I thought it would be. We got dinner together afterwords. After dinner I finally told Erik we needed to take a break. I'm happy to say he took it pretty well and acctually he had been thinking about it too. He told me that the college he's going to is a two year college, but it's two full years, no breaks. So in essence unless I happened to be going to Florida I wouldn't be seeing him for two years straight. I know this was the right decision and were still friends and all, so I guess this worked out well. I really am gonna miss him though.

I have work tomorrow and all that. I'm leaving on Tuesday for MA again. I-might-be back in CT right before classes start but I don't know. Anyway,

Update Later~~~
