Well, today just...
... sucks. Woke up to water pouring (OK it was more of a drip) down the bathroom wall from the flat above. Left for work without being able to contact the tenant, but the caretaker did turn off the water to my upstairs neighbour, so that will be OK then, right?
Got stuck in traffic and having eventually arrived at work, logged on and completed a whole load of updates ready to distribute to the team only to have the laptop hang, and hang, and hang, and - you get the picture. I lost it (the work) then lost it (my cool) then tried, and failed, to recover it. Bugger. Never mind, me thinks, I'll get a copy of the file from someone else and I'll just have to redo the mornings work, so that will be OK then, right?
So, get file, redo the updates only to have the laptop hang, and hang, and hang, and - see above, and repeat. Bugger.
I was a bit cross by this point so went off to work in Ledgers until 5.00pm. Back to my desk to give it another go, I'm nothing if not stubborn (and misguided). So, get file, redo the updates only to have the laptop hang, and hang, and hang, and... eventually I'm booted off the system with an instruction to contact the "Administrator" who has, by now, gone home. Bugger.
So, I come home only to find the water is still dripping down the bathroom wall and obviously has been doing so all day because the wall is sodden. Bugger.
So, wine will make it all seem better won't it? Well it would if I could open the bloody thing!!!!!
