The Waking

Oct 02, 2007 12:33

It's been a real, real, real, real, real long time.

I don't really know what to write.

Interesting things going on left, right and in the middle.

So, I'll just make do with sticking in three stanzas from this poem I like, that describes things prefectly.

From 'The Waking', by T. Roethke.

"I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow
I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.
I learn by going where I have to go."

"We think by feeling. What is there to know?
I hear my being dance from ear to ear.
I learn by going where I have to go."

"This shaking keeps me steady. I should know.
What falls away is always. And is near.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I learn by going where I have to go."

Live in Pace.
