I'm asking those who love the outdoors to post a picture on your page. A picture that YOU took. Just a pic. No description. The goal is to regain peace and harmony without negativity. Please copy the text, put a picture on YOUR page, and let's look at these beautiful pictures.

So lovely to hear how things are going with you, despite the slug description! Among other stationary things I've been doing, I've been watching natural history documentaries, mostly animals, but some astronomy ones. In the animal category, among other things, I've learned more about hibernation, and aestivation, which I had never heard of before. I mention all this because I think that's what's been going on with people for many months now. This is how many creatures respond to a hostile environment in order to survive and I think we've joined them. I am very grateful that the full date is shown at the bottom of my computer screen, otherwise I might not know what month it is, much less the day. Even 2021 looks weird.

I know what you mean about spring. Until a few days ago, it had been grey for weeks and chilly most of the time. Chilly is relative, of course. Compared to NY, it's laughable. Most of my plants were sad. I was sad. Thank goodness the cat was in good spirits, even though she didn't have her tray of grass. The last few days the sun came out for at least part of the day and I transplanted the grass that was growing in the strawberry pots into a little container for her and she is pleased. I'd been thinking about it for weeks, but hadn't done it. Clearly, I really respond to a bit of sunshine.

I am sorry to hear that you lost one of your sweet kitties. Sixteen is a ripe old age. In May, my kitty will have her sixteenth birthday. Her health seems fine, but as the cat months tick by, I am reminded that I can't keep her forever. I think your heating pad is an excellent idea. (I may copy this idea or I may think about copying it for months or even years!) Long may your remaining kitties be warm and hale and patrolling your perimeter!

I'm glad your caution has kept you both safe and I hope you can get your vaccinations soon. I've had my first dose and now have to wait for my invitation to come in and get the second. It'll be another month at least.

You're right about my not having left London. No Christmas travel this year. I've barely been out of my neighbourhood for the past year. Thank goodness Kensington Gardens is nearby and Holland Park not too much farther. I think everyone was intensely grateful for the parks because they were always full of people every time I went regardless of the season or the weather. They were the only beautiful places left to go! The swans particularly have been a joy - thus they ended up in a story.

(Too long. To be continued in next comment!)
