Update! aka IT'S SAKE, BITCH!
You guys. Has it really been a year? It's hard to believe.
First of all, I'm alive and -- aside from the current tonsillitis -- well. I can't tell you much about the drama as to why I haven't been around because there hasn't exactly been any. Not more than usual, anyway, not in "real" life, not in fandom -- not that I would've let any fandom wank or things of that nature drive me away. My reasons for neglecting fandom are infinitely more boring, I'm afraid: As many of you noticed, I've been around less end less for the past one and a half, maybe two, years. I haven't "moved on" to other fandoms or "moved on" to a part of my life where there is no place for fanfic or anything. It was simply that my squee and inspiration for the QaFdom fizzled out. (Strangely enough, I kept writing fanfic till long after I stopped reading fanfic.) At the same time I got a little busier in "real" life and that, obviously, went hand in hand with my fading fandom motivation.
REAL LIFE - I never quite felt this wording. Is this not my real life? Is this not my real self sitting here on my new Ikea sofa (to which every tiny particle of dust seems to stick magnetically, arrrgh!), writing this? Did I not invest hundreds of real hours writing fanfic? Does anyone ask JK Rowling what she does in real life? ...Did I just compare myself to JKR?
Still it's no lie when I tell you that I missed you, fandom and fandom peoples. And thank you so so much for caring and wondering if I'm alright and sending me messages. Even if not "active", I'm not the person to ignore emails or messages and it's the stupid truth when I tell you that I simply forgot to check my Sakemail next to my two thousand other inboxes. I'm really sorry for not responding.
So, how the heck have you been, folkers? Is the fandom still alive? Who's still here? Holla at me, peeps!
P.S. So I guess it's too late now, to throw fandom-style fit and delete my journal and fic? ;)
