Getting over a stomach virus sucks. It's not pleasant. Ew. On the bright side, my wonderful World Civ. II: Focus on Women teacher upped my grade from a C to B from last semester. Turns out she never got any of my quizzes when I indeed know I did them online, but they did not even show as attempted on her system. She let me take them again with no penalty, which was amazingly trusting and sweet of her. If anyone takes the class, ask me about her and I'll tell you who she is ;). She said I would have gotten an A since my project and final both had an A, as well as three A's and two B's on the big essays. However, I never really talked much in group discussion, which I got a 69 in, and apparently that's the only thing preventing me from an A. So I guess I am going to have to work on that this semester, but it really sucks when my ideas are so far out of the mainstream (well, US mainstream). Damn conservatives.
Yesterday was that whole Bush swearing in deal. Within three seconds of turning to it they had a preacher or minister or something leading everyone in a prayer and shit. I turn it off. I turn back later and to my not-so-much-surprise, Bush is using Iraq as his only means of support. "Freedom! Liberty!" yeah yeah. Iraqi Democracy: campaign and get shot three days later. *sigh* American stupidity at its best.
Changed my major(s). Anthropology and History. I never thought of those as being my careers, but I indeed enjoy them a lot. I'm thinking of using them to become a professor or a cultural anthropologist. Study all the cultures in the world and live among them...it's something I can really see myself enjoying. I don't know if I want to minor in Japanese anymore-I am unsure if I can really use it. So perhaps journalism, which would contribute to the majors.
And Crystal beats my ass at the Yahoo messenger word games. I'm her bitch :(.
