Monster High

I can't decide if I want to completely quit collecting Monster High, or just significantly reduce my collection and be extremely picky about what I purchase from now on. I don't really want to get rid of my favorites, but my favorites consist of about 10-12 dolls. 10-12 is still at least one full shelf's worth which is more than I have space for. But then if I start getting rid of my favorites, I feel like I should just sell them all because only having three or so seems a little odd to me. They won't fit in anywhere. And I feel like if I keep a lot, I will want to keep actively collecting. I have the Heath/Abbey pack on preorder, I'm eyeing up Twyla, and I really want the Dance Class pack for Gil, plus the I Heart Shoes girls and then it just keeps going. When I consider that I never touch my MH dolls, don't redress them, and don't ever photograph them, I have a hard time justifying space for them. I'm trying to get out of the habit of buying things that are merely shelf-sitters that I walk by and dust every month, but don't touch otherwise. As it is right now, all of my MH is boxed up except for my Wave 1 Lagoona and I'm actually ok. I want to get my werecats out (they're probably all I would keep along with one or two Lagoonas and my I Heart Fashion Abbey), but I don't miss the others. Though selling the boys would be hard for me because I know the chances of getting another release to replace them if I end up missing them in very slim.

I've made the decision to merge my collecting talk into this journal. Stufftastical has the same friends this journal has, so it's not really worth the hassle to post in two journals. I've been checking out Ipernity lately and it seems like it might be a good picture/blogging format so I might shift collecting talk to there (if I ever sit down and actually figure out how to use Ipernity). We'll see. For now, doll stuff here, just with tags.
