This is the world we live in... (whine)
It's been almost two years since I've graduated, and the thing I miss most about college was that it was the closest thing to a goddamn actual community that exists anymore. I have a number of good friends, but now they all live in places like New Zealand, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, and New Jersey. Hell, I have friends who live in Tacoma, Bellevue, Seattle and Kent, and I never see any of them, either. There are my AmeriCorps friends who I see on a regular basis, but that's work. It's a bitch to even get together with them.
And it's not like it's anyone's fault. It's just that everyone is busy: we have work to go to, and chores to do once we're home, and it's hard enough to spend time with the people you live with, let alone people in the next town over.
I feel so goddamn isolated.
