I owe you, certainly.
I owe many of you very many things at the moment, comments, posts about my trips, thank you letters, and the list goes on and on. I'm working through it and I promise I've made them all a priority.
The last two weeks have seen the return of nightmares and difficulty sleeping pretty much every night. The depression has set in, too. Luckily for me, I've been so busy with my friends that the edge has been taken off so I don't have much time to dwell. EXCELLENT I say.
Mmm, it's just started pouring. First rain of the season and all. Makes me giddy!
Tuesday night and all day Wednesday landed Maya and I at her parent's house in SF. They invited me to help them with their massive pumpkin carving undertaking. And I mean massive as there were 30 or 40 pumpkins to carve. It was like a dream come true. My carving tally for the session:
1. Jack (from Nightmare Before Xmas)
2. Sally (ditto)
3. A window silhouette with a cat, dead tree branches, jack o lantern, and the moon
4. A graveyard scene with the moon, clouds, a broken fence with kitty on top, headstones, and jack o' lanterns
5. Two koi fish, a lily pad, waves.
6. The grim reaper
I free handed all but the grim reaper. I'm really proud of Jack as I think he turned out best. The koi fish turned out pretty well and they took the most work (I carved out each individual scale). It was an awesome fun time.
Just got back from lunch with Dr. E, the retired astronomy adviser. I love him. We had a good amount to talk about and he always makes me feel better about life in general. We planned to meet up more often. I am just giddy happy with all of the good times I've had with my friends.
Going out tonight to see the sexy Olga who I haven't seen in quite awhile. And then it's movie night for astro, and tomorrow is costume thrift shopping with Maya, and my Halloween party. Ten Saturday involves a trip to the Chabot Space and Science Center and Sunday is the She and Him concert.
At this point I feel guilty for having too much fun.
I love all of you who have gone out of your way to make my life special and to cheer me up. So many of you are contributing to my happiness and it is appreciated so, so much. I'll try to thank you each individually as much as I can.
