And then there was boredom.

Hmm, so not much to do and therefore I am bored! I love my family, but there's just nothing to do here once I've run out of my books. Well, there's shopping, but that's hard to do when you don't have any money. Or at least, no too wise to do.

My parents took me out to Red Lobster for lunch (my mother wanted it. I mean, I love seafood and all, but Red Lobster isn't good quality seafood, necessarily). Our server ended up being a really nice guy, who seriously brought us whatever we wanted. I ordered crab legs, and amused my mother and father by making the claw open and close by pulling on the tendons. They were also highly embarrassed to be seen with me. I suppose playing with your food isn't in good manners, but boy is it fun! My father noticed that one of the supervisors that works under him at his plant was sitting across the restaurant. My father, being the person he is, ordered a drink to be sent to him. The guy didn't bother coming over and saying, "Thank you", which I found to be sort of completely rude and really not such a good idea to do that to your boss. He might here about it tomorrow. My father is a kind man, but he expects the same in return. And that, my friends, was my entire day. We ate at around 3, and in my parent's house, that means it served as breakfast, lunch, AND dinner. I did make crumb cake for dessert.

Well, I suppose that wasn't my entire day. I did make $9.50. We went to Meijer's to get some groceries. I love, love, love, coke in glass bottles because it tastes SO much better than Coke served any other way. My father went ahead and got the 3 six-packs that Meijer's had. They were priced at $3.99 and I noticed after we paid that the receipt said they were $5.49 a piece. So I went to customer service to ask which price was correct (I didn't really care, I was just curious) and the lady said it didn't matter how much they were, because store policy was to honor the price tag. So she gave me back the $4.50 in difference, but also, because I was overcharged, she gave me $5 as a "sorry about that" sort of deal. Dad told me to keep the money since I noticed the error. So, yay, I'm not poor! I have a whole $10 I didn't have before! YAY!

And that was my day. Well, add in internet surfing, TV watching, and playing with the animals, and that was my day.

Mom has taken to calling Anubis the Cat and Austin the Dog as "Rachel's entourage" because they both follow me around and sleep on me and play with me. Hey, I can't help it if all animals fall in love with me. It's just my way.

One more day of boredom. And then home to face the job search again. But at least it's home and it's mine and it's not quite as boring as here.

Toodles!
