The CNY weekend

This year's CNY seriously seriously has no atmosphere at all. I'm not just talking about our family, since we dont really do much for CNY, but in overall general.

We had reunion dinner at my end on Thursday, at the usual Boonlay food center, BBQ stall. My dad in general dont give a damn about CNY haha, guess the only special thing he would do is to visit my Grandpa's place and my aunt's place yearly.

Saturday was spent clearing up huge amount of papers in my room.. making things that a bit neater... haha.. Sunday went out with mum to do last minute shopping. We went to Chinatown which was quite disappointingly lack of CNY stalls and all. Either they were already closed or not opened at all. =/

Initially I wanted to get by CNY with the 2 new pcs of clothings my mum-in-law bought for me and a pair of too large shoes I got from endless.com XD but mum said I had to wear shades of red, so we ended up shopping for some new clothes for me at the Chinatown market. A surprise found was a shop selling morigirl style clothes from korea and hk! I snagged a cute dark green checkered top at $28. Definitely going back again.

Had reunion dinner with in-laws at Sakura at the Jurong Safra later in the evening. Really disappointed with the service and food...well can't help that mum-in-law somehow just like to go to Sakura. D=

Monday was the usual CNY visit to grandpa's place. Sat around and visited my uncle's family who stayed a floor above grandpa. Surprise to find my cousin has 2 kids already. LOL. I never keep in touch much with my relatives...

Managed to get off the hook from going to the yearly gathering at my aunt's place, with dad's support (yey dad). I'm a bit guilty, but really, I dont dislike my relatives. I like my aunts a lot and though not close, I get along somewhat with my cousins.. it's just not my cup of tea.

Last year's delayed in the louhei and hours of stuck in the house with the crowd, noise, smoke and doing nothing really made Andrew and my nerves fray big time. So this year, we had wanted to go on a holiday, but budget forbid, so I bought tickets to Voyage de la Vie instead, as I also wanted to watch it for the longest time. I had wanted to drop by in the afternoon to say hi to whoever was around before we scoot off, but since dad say I need not go *w*...

Went lunch and dropped by Andrew's place to bai nian with my in-laws. Napped in the afternoon and we took the bus to RWS.

It was CROWDED in sentosa D=.. filled with China peeps and Blangah/Indians... Wanted to go to the flower exhibition but gave up, due to the crowd and light rain. We ended up just randomly walk around, Bought chocz from Candylicious and had din at Ruyi before going to the show.

Voyage De La Vie is fantastic!!! Recommend those who havent watch to go and watch it before the show finally ends. View was good even with Cat 4 tickets. We would be going back to watch again since Andrew really likes it.

Tuesday was spent lazing around as I was having my bad menses day.

Wednesday I took leave to accompany mum around. We went to MBS and the River Angbao 2012. River Angbao was so-so, I feel a bit better than last year's but nothing fantastic. We went to Marina Square, trying to get out of the heat. Snagged a jumper dress from Muji's sale pile. =D

Met up with dad at Pasir Ris and ends the day stoning at home...

Now I need to work out some evening schedules besides poking at my trading charts and japanese homework...
