Woot! Back from a tiring but pretty fun weekend LOL. As you know, we had this whole hu-ha called Cosfest, in fact it was so amusing everyone who know me and met me there came up to ask about whole flaming thing and if I'm taking it ok, and why did it happen LOL. And the next question was "Wah, but he still gave you a booth?" LOL..
Anyway, last week was totally shag, have not enough sleep, fighting with my printer, printing and merchandise making. Friday rushed home to pack stuff and went over to Pasir Ris. Have a quick dinner, rolled around the chalet with the others for awhile before I slept earlier than all of them, as I needed to meet manda and go to the airport on Sat morning. Chalet was much quieter this year, as a number of people went to Malaysia and some others not included due to various reasons ... ^^Uuuu... but it was cosy and a good rest (if I was not at the event haw haw).
Sat at 5.30am, met with manda on the cab and we headed down to budget terminal to meet Lian, Knightcat and Misaki to pass them the rest of the merchandises, and had a "emotional" send off..... hahaha. I really love this bunch of friends, we are crazy in our own passionate ways but really fun to be with. After that, we had a quick breakfast at Mac at the airport and helped manda lug her stuff over to the chalet. Caught a nap before dressing up and heading to event to set up.
Sales was not too bad, though I made few stuff... I think it's kinda just enough for this event. Managed to cover the expenses and even earned a neat amt of profit to... pay for half of my new printer LOL . Most likely getting a Samsung color laser... and if need better print quality will send to the shops to print... as the inkjet inks are killer price lately.
Much thanks to kitty, Shannen and Wolfpaw for helping and keeping me company at the booth on day 1. Nothing much happened, it's a usual event day. Kitty, Wolfpaw and Jeff also helped me on the 2nd day when I ran off with Andrew, Mori and Auel for the cosplaying. My costume was made up of a loli dress borrowed from Kitty, my wedding shoes and my old hoi hoi-san props. It was fun, and we met up with Nyann who did a very pretty Megurine Luka!! (And now I think I forgot to take picture of her ORZ) But I must admit I'm feeling old for cosplaying... about 2 hours into it... it's tiring =0=... at one time I even fell asleep at a corner of the hall, when the bloggers were hanging out and offered me a corner to rest... LOL.
Had to rush off earlier on 2nd day cos KJ was sending us back home. Think I missed quite a few friends who had wanted to look for me after the event ended, but we had closed and went off right after the winners of the cosplay competition was announced.
Cosplayers were not bad this year, the props were well done! And the cosplayer who did gai-sensei and bokuto ryu was back! As Louis Armstrong. He was great!! Made everything so much livelier and fun. If not it would have been another normal cosfest event =P
Heard that Mr. T was glaring at me on the 1st day when we entered to set up booth.... erm sorry I think his eye power was not strong enough, I didnt notice XD... 2nd day we walked passed him twice near the stage, he was there talking to some sponsor guy or something and he kinda glared too... whatever, I treated that I never saw him.
Taken some photos of booths and dolls at the event.... will put up soon. Cosplayers pics, please help yourself at SG Cafe.
