Today was my graduation day. I didn't get honours, or to wear a silly hat, or to sit down for most of the afternoon. BUT, I did get flowers, delicious dinner, phone calls from weirdos that I love, a pretty photo box, $100, and a piece of paper saying "Susannah Alice Jane has a degree." Ah yes, and one of those ridiculous robes and a pink neck sash thing (?) to wear, so I looked plenty silly enough, don't you worry. It was such an odd day. Full of surrealities. And I bought film, and the seller-fellow told me that if I wasn't going to use it right away, I could always put it in the fridge. Ha, that did tickle me, on account of my already having a bit of photo-related knowledge, thank you very much, being on my way to pick up my photography degree and all.
I am drunk now, but I just recalled that I have work tomorrow, which sobers me somewhat.
Also, I'm moving into my very own apartment in only one bit over a month and I am crazy with the giddiness. Not that that has anything to do with graduating or liquor-drinking (I don't think. Maybe yes. Maybe no). I think the thing that fascinates me the most about the whole business is that I own no furniture at all. Haha, oh dear! Oh dear. That is not strictly true, though...I do have a borrowed air bed and...books. Books count as furniture, yes?
I can't get my left knee boot unzipped. I am trapped like a baby in prison. Is my best option to amputate my left leg just above the knee? Please advise soon, readers, as I have sleep to go to.
