A/N: This is the continuation/sequel of my first fic. “Fragile”, you don't need to read it to understand this one but it may be helpful. I started this over a year ago and now I’m back to it, in a nutshell Dr. Reid Oliver and Luke Snyder have been in a relationship just over three months and are heading to London, England together. As usual I’ve added a few new characters into the mix just to make it interesting and because I can.
A/N: Well, I had planned to post the Epilogue with the last chapter, but the Epilogue is a taking a little longer…you guys know what I’m like but don’t be sad at the end of this chapter, the epilogue will clarify some things for all of you. Chapter #32
Jasper smiled at his cowboy, whose face was smashed into the pillow next to him. Connor had ridden him just like a good ole cowboy should, long and hard, but being on top was usually more exhausting. When Jasper finally allowed himself to come Connor collapsed on top of him following his own incredible orgasm, the second during the long ride. Jasper was good at holding back and Connor cussed him as he shot his first load, and then marvelled as Jasper kept up his drilling into Connor.
Connor’s arms finally tired and he leaned down kissing Jasper and found as they kissed, tongues stroking and exploring deeply and the angle of Jasper’s cock thrusting in him had him aching and hard once again. Jade woke with a start breathing hard and trying to figure out where she was. The clock on the wall read just after 2 am and she gasped as a pain ripped through her lower abdomen. They had started around 8 pm, but she had ignored them they were infrequent but she knew that these contractions weren’t Braxton-Hicks these were the real thing. She’d been able to hide it from Gabriel, which was amazing since he was usually so perceptive around her. The contractions had settled down around 11 pm so she thought maybe they were just the Braxton-Hicks after-all.
But now, now this was different, she panted through the contraction and watched the clock on the wall. They were still over five minutes apart but they were getting stronger. By 3:30 am she couldn’t stop a groan from coming out and she panted through it and then got up. A whoosh of liquid gushed between her legs and she cried out, “Gabriel!” as another contraction hit, “Gabriel!” she called again reaching for the door.
“Jade,” Gabriel yelled as he pulled open the door, “Baby, what is it?” he asked frantically.
“It’s…the…baby,” Jade gasped out and Gabriel blanched as he saw the puddle on the floor between her legs.
“I’ll get Reid,” Gabriel told her as he helped her sit back down on the bed.
“Get Jasper too,” Jade managed to say now that the contraction had subsided.
Gabriel just gulped and nodded as he dashed down the hallway to Luke and Reid’s cabin, “Luke, Reid!” Gabriel called banging on the door of the cabin.
A bleary-eyed Luke opened the door a crack, “Gabriel, what’s wrong,” he croaked his voice scratchy and rough.
“It’s Jade, she’s in labour, her water broke and everything,” Gabriel babbled out his hands running through his hair, “I need Reid and Jasper.”
“Gabriel, how is she, how far apart are the contractions,” Reid spoke from behind Luke his voice calm and firm.
“I, I don’t know, she just had a really strong one and told me to get you and Jasper,” Gabriel explained his voice shaking with emotion.
“Okay, Gabriel, go get Jasper and I’ll be right out to go see Jade,” Reid continued, he’d been dressing as Gabriel spoke.
“Oookay, but hurry Reid,” Gabriel stammered out again heading towards Jasper’s assigned cabin.
“Oh my god Reid, what are we going to do?” Luke told him his eyes wide with fear and concern.
Reid put a hand up to Luke’s face cupping his jaw and said firmly, “You’re going to take a deep breath and calm down, Gabriel is enough of a mess so you’ll need to hold it together okay,” he said softly, looking steadily from his calm sea blue eyes into Luke’s wild brown ones.
Luke took a deep breath, nodding and replied his voice just shaking a little, “Yeah, you’re right, so what can I do?” he asked seriously.
“I want you to go to the lounge car and find some towels and clean sheets and ask for some ice chips or just get some ice out of one of the machines. Jade may have a long night ahead and I want to make her as comfortable as we can, so we’ll clean up her cabin and make sure to keep her calm,” Reid told Luke in full doctor mode, as he grabbed his black bag and headed to Jade’s cabin.
“Luke!” Gabriel called as he came running down the hall, “Jasper’s not answering and he isn’t in the lounge car either.”
Luke shook his head and couldn’t help but smile under the circumstances, “He’s probably with Connor Bailey,” and Gabriel’s jaw dropped open in surprise, “Reid asked me to go get some towels and clean sheets for Jade, oh and some ice chips or cubes, why don’t you go get them and I’ll go get Jasper,” Luke suggested and Gabriel nodded jogging back towards the lounge car.
Luke dressed quickly and made his way to Connor’s cabin and knocked on the door, “Hey Connor, Connor, it’s Luke, we need Jasper, Jade’s labour has started.”
“Luke?” Connor opened the door a crack and Luke could hear Jasper rustling behind him.
“Ah,” was all he managed to get out.
“It’s okay cher,” Jasper said from behind him, “I guess we weren’t as successful as we thought,” and he heard Luke cough, “Okay I’ll be out in a minute Luke, do you know how far Jade is along?” Jasper asked his tone completely professional.
“No, not really, Gabriel just told us that her water broke and the contractions were pretty intense,” Luke explained as Jasper opened the cabin door, he turned to kiss a stunned Connor who was still naked, “We’ll need some help if you want to come out but you can’t freak out, Jade needs us to be calm, this is going to be hard enough and she doesn’t need some frantic guys tending to her.”
“Yeah, I’ll come help, Luke can you wait for me, I’ll be out in a minute,” Connor told him with a sheepish smile.
Reid found Jade huddled on the little bed shivering from the cold of her wet bedclothes, “Hey, how’re you doing?” Reid asked gently trying not to startle Jade whose eyes were closed and she was panting softly between contractions.
“Reid,” she breathed opening her eyes and touching her belly, “I think this is it, this baby isn’t going to wait long.”
Reid shook his head and replied, “These can take time Jade, hours even we should be in Fort William before you go into hard labour.”
Jade looked up meeting Reid’s eyes squarely, “I’ve already been in labour seven hours Reid, I don’t think this baby is going to want to wait another four hours,” she said seriously.
Reid nodded, “Oh shit,” he thought and Gabriel came back in followed by Jasper, “Hey Gabriel can you get a T-shirt or something like that for Jade, we need to get her out of her pyjamas they’re soaked,” Reid told him he knew he had to keep Gabriel occupied with little tasks or he’d go crazy with worry.
“Yeah okay,” Gabriel looking over at Jade who gave him a wan smile.
“It’s okay, baby,” she told him, “Reid and Jasper are here I’ll be in good hands,” she reassured him.
“How are you Jade?” Jasper came in dropping a few towels on the floor to clean it up Reid had been sitting beside Jade on the little bed.
“Okay Jade, I need you to get up so we can change these sheets, can you do that?” Reid asked and then winced as the hand he gave her to help her up was gripped tightly as another contraction tore through her body, Reid panted with Jade, helping her through and she finally loosened her grip, “Okay?” Reid questioned, and Jade nodded and he slowly lifted her up and Jasper held her around the waist as Reid quickly removed the soiled bedding and put fresh sheets with more clean towels underneath.
Gabriel came back and Jasper and Reid stepped out to allow him to help Jade change into some dry clothes.
“Connor Bailey, no wonder you’ve been tired Jasper,” Reid whispered with a smirk.
“Hmm, you know what it’s like to be with a younger guy Oliver,” Jasper replied smugly with a grin.
Reid narrowed his eyes at Jasper, “This isn’t just a casual fuck is it?” he asked softly and Jasper had the grace to blush and just shook his head but didn’t say anymore as Gabriel came out.
“I’ll go get the ice chips now,” Gabriel told them he was pale and nervous but trying his best to keep it together.
Luke and Connor came down the hallway as Reid and Jasper turned to go back in, “Oh hey,” Reid said to them, “We need to examine Jade so just head to the lounge car for a bit.”
“Okay, you’ll call us if you need anything?” Luke asked as he heard Jade moan and he swallowed thickly and Reid nodded giving Luke a quick kiss and then nodding at Connor.
Connor had grabbed a couple of coffees and sat down with Luke, knowing he’d rather have this conversation sooner than later.
“So, when did you figure us out?” Connor asked taking a sip and holding the cup with both hands to hide the shaking.
Luke just smiled, grimacing as he took sip, “The other week at Joe Cool’s, Reid and I saw the way you looked at each other and also seeing you guys making out in the corner so it was easy to put two and two together.”
“I guess we didn’t fool anyone,” Connor admitted with a nervous smile, his light blue eyes shining.
Luke shook his head, “It’s hard not to see it,” and then he added, “But this isn’t just casual is it?”
Connor’s mouth gaped open, “Is it that obvious? I don’t even know how I feel but it’s not like anything I’ve felt before,” he shook his head in wonder of how everyone knew by just looking at them together.
Luke chuckled, “You got it bad Connor what about Jasper, how does he feel?” and Luke watched a smile tug at Connor’s mouth.
“The same, I guess, I’ve been staying with him since the first night I got here,” he admitted, feeling the heat flush his face, “And well I don’t want to leave, but it’s crazy, I feel scared and happy, and sometimes I feel like I’m falling off a cliff.”
Luke laughed louder this time, “Whoa, you do have it bad, so when are you going to tell him?” Luke had to ask his brown eyes twinkling.
“Tell him what?” Connor asked his hands feeling clammy and his stomach flipped Luke just shook his head at him.
“I don’t think we’re going to make it to Fort William,” Jasper told Reid honestly Jade was over three inches dilated the last time the checked and the contractions were getting closer together and lasting longer it wasn’t going to be long before that baby was ready to come out.
“I think you’re right, we’ll get some more towels she can grab onto and try and keep her comfortable, Gabriel is rubbing her back and getting her to sit up which will help,” Reid told him and then crossed his arms and looked at Jasper, they had stepped out for a few minutes to give Gabriel and Jade some time together.
“What?” Jasper said fidgeting under Reid’s stare, “I like him Reid, a lot, out of nowhere I forgot what this felt like, shit I don’t think I ever felt this way with Thomas,” he admitted with a small smile.
Reid nodded running a hand through his auburn curls and then smiled at Jasper, “But what’s not to like when you have a hot piece of ass in your bed whose ten years younger,” and Jasper just gaped at him, “It also doesn’t hurt when you’re completely head over heels in love with him,” Reid added his blue eyes twinkling and Jaspers khaki ones widened in surprise.
“Jasper, Reid!” Gabriel called out as Jade’s scream pierced the air, “I think it’s coming.”
Jasper and Reid scrambled back into the cabin telling Gabriel to go and get, Luke and Connor and more towels and some hot and cold water.
The tiny room was filled to bursting with Gabriel and Luke on both sides of Jade and Reid and Jasper down between her legs. Luke and Gabriel had one end of a towel wrapped around their hands and Jade had the other end as she squeezed and pulled while panting through each contraction that were practically non-stop. Jasper would push down on her belly, and run a wet towel over her forehead and face as she bore down.
“Okay Jade, are you listening,” Reid told her massaging her thigh, “You’re going to bear down through this one,” and she nodded her face sweaty and eyes steady.
Connor was just outside waiting to run if they need anything else, he looked away as the contraction hit and Jasper pushed down on Jade’s belly.
“Here we go,” Reid told her and Jade growled and pushed, the pain excruciating, Reid watched as the head came through and then helped with one and then the other shoulder, “Come on Jade you can do this,” Reid encouraged, “One more breath and one more push.”
“Come on baby, love you,” Gabriel whispered and Luke watched in awe as the tiny bundle slipped from Jade’s body and she fell back with a huge gasp of pain, tears streaming down her face.
Jasper let Reid clean up the baby while he gently tended to Jade.
“Reid?” Jade asked tentatively and smiled as she heard a little sniffle and then a small cry.
“Shh,shh,” Reid cooed softly as Jasper cut the cord with scissors that had been sitting in boiled water.
Reid cleaned the baby’s body and face and then hands with a warm cloth before bundling it in another warm blanket and finally placing the baby in Jade’s waiting arms.
“Congratulations, Jade and Gabriel, meet your new daughter,” Reid said softly his voice cracking with emotion and he looked up to see Luke’s smile and eyes filled with tears.
Jade looked up and Gabriel was looking down at his baby girl his face wreathed with a huge smile, “Well everyone say hello to Gabriella Rose,” and then Jade hesitated and looked back up at Gabriel who nodded, “Olivia Caras,” and her eyes met the stunned blue eyed gaze of Dr. Reid Oliver, “Thank you Reid, Jasper you guys were wonderful, you too Connor and Luke,” she leaned up and Luke kissed her forehead putting a finger out to his new little cousin and then Jade leaned back against Gabriel and the new little family was lost to each other.

Luke chuckled, “You got it bad Connor what about Jasper, how does he feel?” and Luke watched a smile tug at Connor’s mouth.
“The same, I guess, I’ve been staying with him since the first night I got here,” he admitted, feeling the heat flush his face, “And well I don’t want to leave, but it’s crazy, I feel scared and happy, and sometimes I feel like I’m falling off a cliff.”
Luke laughed louder this time, “Whoa, you do have it bad, so when are you going to tell him?” Luke had to ask his brown eyes twinkling.
“Tell him what?” Connor asked his hands feeling clammy and his stomach flipped Luke just shook his head at him.
“I don’t think we’re going to make it to Fort William,” Jasper told Reid honestly Jade was over three inches dilated the last time the checked and the contractions were getting closer together and lasting longer it wasn’t going to be long before that baby was ready to come out.
“I think you’re right, we’ll get some more towels she can grab onto and try and keep her comfortable, Gabriel is rubbing her back and getting her to sit up which will help,” Reid told him and then crossed his arms and looked at Jasper, they had stepped out for a few minutes to give Gabriel and Jade some time together.
“What?” Jasper said fidgeting under Reid’s stare, “I like him Reid, a lot, out of nowhere I forgot what this felt like, shit I don’t think I ever felt this way with Thomas,” he admitted with a small smile.
Reid nodded running a hand through his auburn curls and then smiled at Jasper, “But what’s not to like when you have a hot piece of ass in your bed whose ten years younger,” and Jasper just gaped at him, “It also doesn’t hurt when you’re completely head over heels in love with him,” Reid added his blue eyes twinkling and Jaspers khaki ones widened in surprise.
“Jasper, Reid!” Gabriel called out as Jade’s scream pierced the air, “I think it’s coming.”
Jasper and Reid scrambled back into the cabin telling Gabriel to go and get, Luke and Connor and more towels and some hot and cold water.
The tiny room was filled to bursting with Gabriel and Luke on both sides of Jade and Reid and Jasper down between her legs. Luke and Gabriel had one end of a towel wrapped around their hands and Jade had the other end as she squeezed and pulled while panting through each contraction that were practically non-stop. Jasper would push down on her belly, and run a wet towel over her forehead and face as she bore down.
“Okay Jade, are you listening,” Reid told her massaging her thigh, “You’re going to bear down through this one,” and she nodded her face sweaty and eyes steady.
Connor was just outside waiting to run if they need anything else, he looked away as the contraction hit and Jasper pushed down on Jade’s belly.
“Here we go,” Reid told her and Jade growled and pushed, the pain excruciating, Reid watched as the head came through and then helped with one and then the other shoulder, “Come on Jade you can do this,” Reid encouraged, “One more breath and one more push.”
“Come on baby, love you,” Gabriel whispered and Luke watched in awe as the tiny bundle slipped from Jade’s body and she fell back with a huge gasp of pain, tears streaming down her face.
Jasper let Reid clean up the baby while he gently tended to Jade.
“Reid?” Jade asked tentatively and smiled as she heard a little sniffle and then a small cry.
“Shh,shh,” Reid cooed softly as Jasper cut the cord with scissors that had been sitting in boiled water.
Reid cleaned the baby’s body and face and then hands with a warm cloth before bundling it in another warm blanket and finally placing the baby in Jade’s waiting arms.
“Congratulations, Jade and Gabriel, meet your new daughter,” Reid said softly his voice cracking with emotion and he looked up to see Luke’s smile and eyes filled with tears.
Jade looked up and Gabriel was looking down at his baby girl his face wreathed with a huge smile, “Well everyone say hello to Gabriella Rose,” and then Jade hesitated and looked back up at Gabriel who nodded, “Olivia Caras,” and her eyes met the stunned blue eyed gaze of Dr. Reid Oliver, “Thank you Reid, Jasper you guys were wonderful, you too Connor and Luke,” she leaned up and Luke kissed her forehead putting a finger out to his new little cousin and then Jade leaned back against Gabriel and the new little family was lost to each other.
