Or Adventures in Portfolio Fundimentals a.k.a. Demo Reel Pre-Production Class.
I got to class early so I could have everything all set up and started working on my assets before class started. I desided to re-do the main building mainy cleaning up the geometry so UVing wouldn't be as much of a pain in the butt. Jessa was busy hounding one of our classmates to show the class videos of the band he was in on the projector. The teacher was curious too so we got to see
this clip on the projector. My classmate is the lead singer, so we got to watch that and hear a story about his very gay hairdresser on the show. ^__^
Well I got to working on my building and since I couldn't get image maps working in maya, it freaked out on me, I had the blueprints I was using on my lap. The teacher came buy and say I was using actual blueprints and geeked out. This is the second teacher to geekgasm over my work. He even showed me the distance mesurment tool in maya when I asked if Maya had one like max. He then Went on about how cool it would be to "...use the photometric light and the imax aspect ratio and .... ahhhhhhhhhh" this is where he cut off with a far off look in his eye as he imagened it. It was most amusing and slightly scare. That is the second teacher to geekgasm over my building. I wonder if its feeling a little dirty and used now. >.>;; <.<;;
Of course nothing can compare to the geekgasm he had over
this game trailer. I mean seriously, I didn't know my teacher is a geekgasm screamer. I'm suprised the classes around out didn't peek in with his cries of "OMG" and "THATS RAD/AWESOME/COOL" whatever he used I was too busy gaping in shock to really commit it to memory. He also showed this on the projector, 2 times. I admit this does look fun to play with. Lance, the teacher, even said He would have fun just getting his character caught in endlessly looping portals. It does sound like fun. >.>;; I would probably be too busy getting my character cought in endly funny situations to really play the game. XD
