So.
I'm in college and taking a course in Medical Transcription. My financial aid is being dodgy and giving me the run around by making me fill out more forms and proving to a board of financial advisors (tomorrow) that I am an independent student with no source of income or any adult to depend on. I've rearranged my schedule and am trying to get into a routine that is somewhat uncomplicated.
This new direction of my life has seemed to make Alan very pleased since he's become somewhat more affectionate and loving in an almost proud sort of way. Mind you, he's pretty affectionate and loving anyhow, but there seems to be an extra something to his hugs. More oopmh. And oophm in a hug makes a great hug indeed.
I have also decided to try and start up an anime club at the college since no one seems to be running one, but plenty of people are interested. I think I have leadership abilities and I know I've got the anime supply to give these otakus what they need. =3 I will simply refuse the requests of people who say "I wanna watch Inu Yasha!!!" or "Hey, let's watch Naruto! That is a cool anime!" I reject!! *crosses arms in an X*
No such things will be shown as the point of an anime club is to expand and explore what you haven't seen and not to rewatch something that Adult Swim shows every night as they have for the last three years.
I will bring my beat stick.
I am also reading a book called "Wicca for Beginners" by Thea Sabin. It's basically a really long and in depth definition of the practice and gives a run down of common misconceptions and such. I like it. =3 I've not had a chance to get the solitude I need to do the energy exercises that are explained in the book. I've decided a religious reference in my life will be good to give me an outline and a path of sorts to follow. I do believe in a higher power, but no named god really. I like to think that all the gods people believe in are the same higher power that has influence over all and everything. Energy being "recycled" back into the earth also makes sense to me and is my general belief of the after life. We go back into the earth and are reused some place else.
I also believe in the unexplained, that high school goths/witches are posers (I refer to the ones who threaten to hex you for laughing at their attempt to be weird), and that real witches are some of the best people you can associate yourself with. They're open, warm, friendly, and accepting unlike so many other people who call themselves "religious".
