So it all started about 3 hours ago. Took the Red Line from Belmont down to the Cermak/Chinatown stop. Except this time I went left instead of right after getting down the stairs. After 5-10 minutes of walking we came across my mandatory visit - White Castle. Went in and marveled at the beautifully simple menu. I took away 9 cheeseburgers, 3 chicken ring sandwiches, 9 piece chicken rings, and a large coke.
I waited patiently the whole 30 minute walk & train ride back so I could take my first bite. It was everything I could ever have asked for. It lived up to the hype. Ate all the rings, 6 burgers, and 1 ring sandwich.

So after dusting off that AMAZING meal of White Castle I got introduced to Burn Notice. The show is fantastic and I'm watching more of it right now. Two very nice British girls came to join us in the apartment. For those keeping score this now means 14 people total are in this place. It's not 15 because my buddy's roommate is away for a couple of days due to his job as an airline pilot. Mind you this is in a smallish 2-bedroom apartment. I was somewhat amused by the girls marveling at the size of the place, as well as Steve's DVD collection.
Once they settled in, Steve and I continued to toss around a Rugby ball like we were doing before the girls arrived. I wore myself down until I lost my mental focus. It felt good to get active like that though. Of course I was sweaty and dirty, so I needed a shower, and this one felt great.
Now that I was clean I went with Steve to this nice little bar 2 streets down called The Schoolyard. They do a beer thing called "Beer Abroad". Finish 10 beers from around the world and you get prizes. Unfortunately business was shitty so we got cut off early and discounted too, of course! We came back home and just chilled out like buddies when we were back in Phoenix.
It's a little different with 2 British women and 10 band members around, but it's really fun and totally helps change my perspective on life and how I should be with people. I I have a better realization that people are probably way nicer than they seem to be. All it takes is that first step to make a connection. The rest is easier than you think it is. I just hope this attitude comes home with me, and I'll be able to make my life better that way. I've got $71 to make my last full day here as great as possible. I'm going to try to let it all hang out.
P.S. Something was getting in my vision when I was tossing around Rugby today. Apparently there was enough humidity and chill in the air that I saw my own head-steam. Weird feeling.
See you for the last part soon!
