OOC: Log Post - Axel and Saïx

Dec 26, 2007 22:12

Who: Saïx and Axel
What: FIIIIIIGHT
When: Tonight
Where: France, outside the library Axel works at.
Why: Because we're evil. >D
Also: No one was there. CONTAINS VIOLENCE, so don't read if that's not your thing.

Axel made a face as he stepped out of the library and into the cold. Yuck, winter. He pondered teleporting directly back to the castle. ...Nah. It was just a ten minutes walk. He could deal. Not like he had to be afraid of evil rapists or something. Besides, it always woke Roxas up when he teleported back. With that thought, Axel resigned himself to walk.

Saïx wasn't stalking Axel, per se. That the library Axel worked at was right near a computer store was merely coincidence. He was in need of a new laptop, though getting it before walking past the library might not be the best of ideas. If he ran into Axel, there was sure to be a fight and he wasn't about to have another laptop destroyed so soon.

He was still a bit on edge from the full moon having just passed and it had been rougher than usual. He was by no means a werewolf, not in the folkloric sense at least. However, as his power is drawn from the moon, it goes without saying that the more moon there is, the more power he can draw from it. Under normal full moon circumstances, he'd spend moon rise to moon set in berserker mode for the three nights of he full moon, and then it would be more controllable to either side of those three nights. That was before he found the sparkly pink feathers. Two of them. The feathers seemed to increase his power by quite a lot. He'd have to get used to this new power if he didn't want to be incapacitated the next full moon. Or destroy his laptop during it again.

He was nearing the library when he spotted something red walking out of the library. Axel. Saïx's hood was up, covering the bright blue hair that would quickly give him away. He slowed his pace, waiting to see which way Axel would walk.

Axel started to walk a couple of steps, briskly and quickly and had to resist the urge to stop suddenly as he felt the presence of another Nobody. Fuck. He slowed his pace a little, looking back out of the corner of his eye. He could guess who it was easily, hood or no. He hadn't been the Organization's assassin for shits and giggles -- he was the best when it came to hiding himself if he felt like it. He wasn't that far off from an Assassin himself, just had a bit more will than they did. He didn't bother to turn around, merely slowly stopping before calling out:

"Gee, stalking me again, Saïx~? You'd think you had a crush on me, at this rate."

Pushing his hood off Saïx closed in the space between himself and Axel and pointed to the store in the distance. "I was headed there and felt like taking the scenic route. Surely there's no harm in that." It was evident in his tone that this was no coincidence.

Axel stepped back. There was something about Saïx being in his personal space that made him paranoid, oddly enough. Axel kept his face carefully blank, raising an eyebrow slightly. "Randomly decided to go in France to buy a computer, uh? An' here I thought you were a predictable, boring personage. Must've been mistaken." Axel's dry sarcasm would probably be unappreciated.

"I heard they had the best prices in the world." Saïx wasn't sure this was true, but it didn't hurt to continue feigning coincidence for a moment or two longer.

Axel deadpanned. "... From who, the Easter Bunny?" He waved his hand impatiently. "Do us both a favor an' don't try to lie, that'd be my department, sorry to say."

"I am buying a computer. I woke up a couple mornings ago to find mine destroyed, Axel." Saïx took a step closer, "But since I'm here and you're here, I can have a bit of fun before I go shopping."

Axel took a step back again. "There's really no need for that -- some people are sleeping at this time an' hour," Axel raised his hands up, a sign of peace neither believed, "Besides, you might not make it before closin' time if you start getting distracted." This really wasn't fair grounds for a fight -- a night, close to the full moon, in winter... Plus, with the space restricted, Axel was definitely in a disadvantage.

"I don't care about those who are sleeping and I can survive another night without a laptop, Axel. Why would I want to pass up this opportunity that I have right here?" Saïx reached out and ran a thumb along Axel's chin, a smirk playing at his features.

Axel jerked his face away, growing still. "Now you sound like a rapist," Axel drawled. His hands were shaking. Shit.

"No, no, that involves a different kind of moaning than I want to hear from your lips." Saïx summoned his claymore and held it to Axel's throat, the spikes on the end of it mere centimeters away from piercing skin.

"I'm pretty sure both are cases of 'Do Not Want'," Axel kept still, looking at the claymore next to his neck, "Does it really hafta come to this?"

"Is this? Hmmm, and here I thought you were inviting this. Or did you forget about the comments where you called me 'Puppy'," Saïx narrowed his eyes. "Consider yourself lucky that the moon is still tucked behind those clouds. How long do you think your luck is going to hold out?" He could easily begin his attack now, he was strong enough without going into berserker mode, but once those clouds moved and he was able to draw that power, Axel would have no choice but to defend himself.

Axel looked up at the clouds. "I'd wager about... say, three minutes or so?" He jumped back from Saïx, holding his arms out and summoning his chakrams in a spinning fire. He rolled them around a little, feeling the comfortable weight in his palms. Fuck, the last time he used them for a fight was forever ago. "Which, considerin' my luck, might pass more quickly than I'd like 'em too." He crouched a little, ready.

"Luck was never your strong suit," Saïx replied. He didn't even have to look at the clouds to know that they were moving, that the moon was starting to show. He could feel the power beginning to fill him as he held up his claymore. The feathers made this drawing of power intrinsic and Saïx's features began to morph as the berserker in him took over. He lunged forward, aiming to stab Axel in the place where his heart should be with the end of his weapon.

Axel swore, moving away with a jump. There was no way he was trying to take the hit if he could help it. Quickly, he threw one chakram at Saïx's head, the edges burning slightly. "I'm not the Gambler, of course I ain't lucky," he snarled.

Saïx quickly deflected the chakram with the other end of his claymore, sending the weapon flying back at Axel. "If only fog didn't hinder me as well, or I might have come tomorrow instead of today. Your flames are hardly dancing today. Can't imagine what they'd be like in fog."

Axel caught back the chakram, holding his arms out again. "What, you want some dancing flames in winter? You musta failed that part in kindergarden -- 'Winter is cold. Summer is hot.' Sheesh." Except Axel didn't feel like his fire was being kept back, even with the cold. He was holding himself back from setting the whole place on fire, even. It was weird, but appreciated. He jumped forward, trying to catch Saïx directly, one arm holding out a chakram.

Saïx used the wide end of his claymore as a shield against Axel's chakram. He used the force from the weapon's contact to push back far enough to make his weapon of any use. So far he was going easy on Axel, though he could feel the power building up within him, growling for release. He swung his weapon, the rounded and spiked end barely grazing Axel's stomach.

Axel leapt back, spinning on one foot before leaping right back at Saïx, throwing his flaming chakrams from a distance. This wasn't going well at all.

Deflecting both chakrams with ease, Saïx sent them both to the ground - one landing flat and the other lodging into the hardened ground. He then lunged forward, not caring that Axel was at a severe disadvantage, and swung his claymore, slicing though Axel's clothing.

Axel winced as Saïx sliced at him, lunging for his weapons. He really wished his were like a Keyblade right at this moment. He picked up the one lying there. The other one would have to wait.

Saïx had no qualms about his next move, as he swung the claymore down, slicing the back of Axel's hand as he reached for the chakram.

Axel's hand simply tightened around the chakram instead of letting go as he swore again, letting out a kick towards Saïx's abdomen. If he wanted to play dirty, Axel could play dirty, alright.

Saïx grunted as Axel's kick hit him hard in the stomach. He lunged forward again, stabbing his claymore into Axel's side.

Axel gasped as the claymore hit him, not bothering to dodge the hit -- instead, he took hold of Saïx's arm, setting his palm -- and the sleeve -- on fire, lunging back before Saïx could hit him again.

Saïx quickly tore off the sleeve, letting it fall to the ground. His arm still felt like it was on fire, the flames already having done enough damage to give him a second degree (or worse) burn. He barely processed the fact that Axel's fire was working better than it had been moments before. He lunged forward again, stabbing at the ground by Axel's feet, backing him into a corner before aiming directly for one foot.

Axel couldn't dodge that, fuck -- he braced himself for the impact and raised his chakram up, trying to hit Saïx with it as he staggered back from the pain, gasping.

Saïx cackled as he stepped back, Axel's chakram hitting his already burned arm. The pain was searing but the borrowed strength he possessed from the moon and the feathers allowed him to continue on as though it were nothing. He'd feel it later, but he'd find it all worth it so long as Axel came out worse. He swung the wide end of the claymore at Axel again, this time not aiming for any particular part of him.

Axel bent backwards, the claymore missing him by mere inches and it was times like these that he was happy he could bend that much -- most Nobodies could with a little practice. He leaned further back, catching himself on the ground, both chakrams flat against it as he swept his legs up, kicking at Saïx again. This was more of a physical fight than he was used to.

Watching as Axel bent backwards, Saïx readied himself to back up, managing to move out of reach half a second before Axel's feet would have made contact. He swung the claymore again, making contact with the back of Axel's legs.

Axel lost his balance at the hit, the pain enough to make him fall down. He shook as he tried to crawl backwards and get back up. He was pretty sure that would have broken the legs of any normal guy -- lucky him, he only had to deal with the pain. Nobodies didn't exactly have normal bones.

Saïx held the claymore out, the spikes mere inches away from Axel's throat as he moved to get up. The moon was once again hidden behind clouds and Saïx's strength began to diminish. He needed the moon to become visible again quickly before he lost his power over Axel. "You think moving now is a wise idea, Axel?" The hand at his side shook slightly as the pain he was in became noticeable. He clenched his fist, trying to still himself, digging sharp nails into his own flesh.

Axel's breath was short. It fucking hurt. He grinned nonetheless, acting cocky. "Starting to burn a little, Saïx?" Wait a little longer. Just a little longer. He tightened his grip on his chakrams, concentrating.

Saïx pushed the claymore closer to Axel's throat, the tip of one spike pressing lightly against his skin. "Shut up," he said through gritted teeth. "Or I'll make sure you're never able to speak again." He pressed a little harder against Axel's throat, breaking the skin.

Axel's breath hitched in his throat. Well. Now would be a good time, probably. He closed his eyes and concentrated on the fire inside of him -- the flames rose up, turning the previously cold ground into what probably looked like Hell's floor. The flames were circling Axel and Saïx. Fuck, Axel thought hysterically as some of the flames crept up his body, but that felt good.

Saïx didn't hesitate to call forth a portal as flames began to lick at his feet. He stepped in and then stepped out of another portal several feet away from where the flames ended. He was not giving up, but something wasn't right. Axel shouldn't have been able to use that much of his flames in this weather. The humidity was high, nearly 100%, and it was cold out. And the moon was still hidden behind a cloud.

Axel rubbed at his throat as he crouched, looking around for Saïx. He couldn't get up fully -- it hurt even as he crouched -- but he couldn't just stay down, either. His hand throbbed. He couldn't fight for much longer. Even if his elemental prowess seemed to have depleted for whatever reason, everything still hurt. Where the hell was Saïx?

It was several moments before the cloud began to drift away from the moon, Saïx's strength returning to him in full. He ran toward Axel, growling low in his throat, aiming his claymore at his shoulder.

Axel swore as Saïx came at him -- he couldn't jump out of the way like this. He raised his chakrams up to parry the blow.

Saïx's claymore slipped through one of the gaps in Axel's chakram and barely pierced Axel's skin before he was pulling it back, not wanting Axel to disarm him.

Axel used the moment were Saïx was pulling back to give him an added push with his chakram. He tried to hit Saïx's face with it, the chakram lighting on fire.

Letting out a hiss of pain, Saïx backed away further, the chakram grazing and burning his cheek. The smell of burning hair filled the air and the section that Saïx wore next to his cheek was singed. Growling, he lunged forward again, aiming the wide end of the claymore at Axel, determined to have at least one of the spikes hurt him.

Axel tried to jump backwards, staggering at the pain in his legs. The claymore hit him straight in the chest and Axel fell back, further away, coughing. He wheezed a little in pain and clutched at his chest. Great. Open wound. Like he needed the extra pain!

Saïx cursed as a cloud began to cover the moon again. There was no way he'd be able to finish the job at this rate. He escaped through a portal, not bothering to inform Axel that he was leaving. The other Nobody could wait there all night for him to return, or anyone else to show up if he wanted.

Saïx didn't return to the castle, but instead sought elsewhere to hide. If Envy found out what he had done to Axel (which he was bound to), the homonculous would be after him in a matter of minutes. It was best to not be somewhere easily found. At least until the pain had subsided.

Saïx's presence was gone. Axel let the flames die down as he looked around, pulling himself up shakily. Definitely gone. He let go of his chakrams as they disappeared, pulling himself up with a groan. He held himself up -- by some miracle he had enough strength to not fall down yet -- and called a portal, stepping through it. He wanted to -- he wanted to sleep. To just curl up somewhere and not move for days. He stepped out somewhere in his castle, his eyesight was starting to blur. With a groan he let himself fall against a wall.

He was never walking home again. Ever.
