Plans this weekend

Some months ago, I made an entry about how I had been contemplating getting myself a pet. As noted back then, I'm not exactly experienced in the realm of pet-rearing as my family didn't keep any pets when I was growing up. Because of that, since then I had been reading up and researching different options, seeing what would work out best for me and ( Read more... )

There's nothing interesting about a dead fish. And could you not wish death upon my pets, please? I'd appreciate it.

A dead fish can be dissected; a live one just sort of swims around and exists /:

But I'm won't. There's no need to help the natural process along.

You can go fishing in the lake if you want something to dissect. Kirimi and Awa are ornamental fish and were bred for the purpose of looking pretty and being stared at. I personally find them quite fascinating. They have a very silly nature about them and their wobbly swimming is funny to watch.

Exactly. I fully intend to get the most out of them for however long they last with me. Goldfish can even live for over 10 years if you continue to take good care of them. I'll be happy if they last even a fraction of that time.

I sort of pity their existence.

0/10 is a fraction.

I'm sure they're perfectly content in their little fishy lives. Large filtered tank to live in, lots of plants and decorative things to hide in and do some fishy napping, and more flakes of food to eat than they could ever know what to do with the gluttons. Why wouldn't they be happy with all of that?

Not really, as it still equals out to 0, whether placed like that or not. Just as 10/10 isn't really a true fraction either, as it equals out as a whole number.

The creepy 24/7 monitoring remains sort of unnerving, however luxurious the prison.

Does "limit of x/10 as x approaches 0" count as a fraction?

They're not watched 24/7. That would be silly, and also rather foolish to try and do. And unfortunately, I don't have a convenient pond to place them in, so the so-called prison-like tank as you referred to it is all I can offer them.

No.
