So it seems that many of our animal friends here have started rather heavily shedding their winter coats in favor of their lighter summer ones. As a result, thanks to bad allergies, I've been sneezing constantly for the past few days. Of course, it doesn't help that I keep making things worse for myself by continuing to reach down and pet anything furry that I cross paths with and end up causing loose fur to go everywhere in the process. So I guess I'll be dealing with this and having a nose red enough to make a reindeer jealous until they finish all of that. I know a lot of you have already been witness to things, but still, I apologize to all my students for the sneezing fits and general unpleasantness surrounding me because of it. Right about now I'm wishing the joke about Shiraishi-kun actually being able to herd cats were true.
This is also admittedly why I've always avoided getting any pets of my own. Even if, ever since my student days here, I've always wanted to try my hand at caring for something more than just goldfish you get at festivals. But as fun as they are, I don't think I would enjoy the constant allergies. I manage well enough just with the occasional interaction. I don't want to make things even worse for myself.
On an unrelated note, it has come to my attention that some in my classes might be having more difficulty than most with understanding things. If that's the case, please let me know. I'll be happy to make time to help you get up to speed with everyone and go over anything you're struggling with. I don't want anyone feeling like they're behind their classmates with things.
...Now where did I put those tissues...?
