Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Recipie

Let's start this out by saying I hate oatmeal unless it's in little packets by Quaker. Dunno, just hate it. In an effort to actually eat the stuff (and in an effort to eat, my pantry is literally down to oatmeal, a can of garbanzo beans, a can of pinappple and more ramen then should be healthy), I've been working on new flavor profiles for the plain oatmeal in an effort to get it down.

Ingredients:

Oatmeal (any kind will do, I'm partial to whatever my food bank thrusts at me).
Milk (2% prefered)
Water (Tap is good)
Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix (or Pumpkin Pie Spices, ie: Cinnamon, Nutmeg, All Spice, etc).

Directions:

You'll notice I didn't use exact measurements up top, this is because it's really individualized. Some like creamy oatmeal, some don't, so forth. Just add enough water and milk to cover your oats.

Add the Oatmeal, Water and Milk to a saucepan and set over Medium heat, stiring to make sure those oats are covered (no one likes a dry oat). Add in sprinkles of the Pumpkin Pie Spice mix as you stir, and then allow the oatmeal to come to a bubble (not boil, bubble).

Stir again, adding more spices if you desire, until oats are tender and chewy. Remove from heat and dish up!

There ya go, an easy and slighty tasty dish (I needed more Pumpkin Pie spice in the second bowl) that will warm you up, fill you up and comfort you with thoughts of...pie. (which you'd probably rather be eating).
