Went to the dr yesterday, most everything was good, lost five pound, my meds are balanced out, found a lump in my armpit....
...yeah, that last one was a bit freaky, but it's probably just an over-active lymph node according to Dr. Drew (yes, that is my dr's name, no, not that one).
I have a re-check next month to keep an eye on it, but it reminded me that while I normally post my main breast cancer post in October, as it's halfway through the year I thought I'd remind you all that breast exams should be done once a month (lay down, raise your arm above your head, check the WHOLE breat including above and below and in the armpit) to stay on top of things. Also, men (and women who have men in their live) should check as well as it's not just females who get breast cancer.
Anyway, back to my lump (I feel like I should name it, it's been with me for two months now), I'm supposed to use warm compresses, steamy baths/showers, that sort of thing to treat it and just generally keep an eye on it to make sure it's not really going anywhere or doing anything (guess it's not allowed to go for joy rides through my immune system, poor baby).
...I lost five pounds! *dances*
