Lots of little stuff

So this last week was my last week at Freeport. Overall, it was a good experience. I learned a lot as a teacher, including what mistakes NOT to repeat in Half Hollow Hills come this fall. Graduation was yesterday, and my kids sounded good. I did get sunburned, even THOUGH I put on sunscreen. Boo.

I was approved by HHH this week and I am now in the process of taking care of all of the paperwork. It's a little overwhelming. I hate doing the tax forms and picking a health insurance company was a litte bit daunting. But it's nearly complete, and that's that.

Last night, Greg met my dad and Marilyn. We went to the Mets/Yankees game. I picked him up from the Great Neck train station and we went back to Dad's house. Greg changed into his Mets jersey (a brave move in a house of yankee fans) and off we went. We ate at this little resturant we always go to and then it was off to the game. The Mets won, but it was definitely a well-played game. We went to the Lemon Ice King of Corona afterwards and watched the Bocci Ball for a little while, and then came home. However, as I was driving us back to Greg's house, I started to feel really really sick. I got sick at his house (and i am SO embarrassed about it) and ended up just needing to go home. And I've been sick all night and into today. I think I got food poisoning. I looked it up and my symptoms fit the description of one of the strains. So instead of going to camp orientation, I'm home sick. I can't eat anything, I'm hoping the pills I took will stay down, but I just want to feel better. I don't want to have lost out on this weekend.
