WTF, Army?

Have y'all seen this?

On the one hand, you have this person's mother backing out of taking care of the 10 month old baby because the baby was 'very busy' and "You have to keep an eye on him 24 hours a day."  Oh, and did I mention that the mother RUNS A DAY CARE?

It's just me, but if you run a daycare, you should know waaaaaay in advance of offering to help your daughter out that 10 month olds are very busy.  If you couldn't do it, you should have told her that before agreeing that you could.

And dear Army:  You know better than anyone that if a soldier is not worrying about having her child shipped off to foster care they can focus on the things that they were supposed to go do in wherever the hell that you're sending them.  Don't punish this woman for being a single mom or doing what any mother would do - she is fearing for the safety of her child in a state system that more often than not just doesn't care or is negligent.  You should be doing what you can to offer her whatever support she needs instead of trying to demonize her for not doing her job.  Women in the regular workforce have to put up with that idiocy [I know I have, thanks much, PO] but why that should happen to someone who wants to serve their country is beyond me right now.
