Well last week, me and Ondrie from school went down to Christiania to check it out. With the warmer weather, he said that everyone comes down on the weekends. Sure enough we went down, and the district was having a celebration day to try and save the district. They were serving up an endless supply of free beer, with live band, and selling t-shirts that said "Bevar Christiania" (save or preserve Christania). Anyways we decided to wander up onto a landscaped area that climbed up onto a popular cafe in the district that overlooked the famous canals that cover the southern part of Copenhagen, and also gave a birds eye view of Pusher Street. As soon as we got up top we ran into this one Danish girl that I always bump into. She was sitting and chilling with her friend. I ran into her the first time when I took photos of Chrisatania getting raided by police, then I bumped into her at my Kollegium when I was taking photos of the building engulfed in flames, and then I bumped into her at the gym working out. I was like hmmm "I'm always bumping into you"! and she was like, "Yes, it must be destiny". and I was like hmmmmm, I don't know about all that. Anyways, we chit chatted with them, and her friend chatted with my friend Ondrei. So many Danish girls, so little time. Oh well. Anyways, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Christiania district is the best thing going for Copenhagen. Gonna be interesting to follow what transpires from here on out, cuz I still see people selling and buying there, even though the police cleared out the barrels used for fire and warmth, next to where the Pushers use to have permanent tables set into the concrete on Pusher Street. We meet new people everyime we go down there. Another kewl thing I have observed, is the fact that the district seems to be run by various breeds of dogs. Most of em are pit bulls, and rots. All the dogs have individual personalities and they just wander around the disrict with out being on a leash. They are very well behaved, unlike in the USA, where the pits and rots attack people and bite them. I even play with this one pit bull, who walks around with a tennis ball in his mouth. I kick the ball, and he chases it and brings it back. The only time the dogs act up is when the undercover police are around. Kinda like in the movie terminator, when the cyborg trys to sneak in the barricade, and the guard dogs sniff him out and warn the others. Okay more later
