I've been back in Bournemouth for a few days now so I guess I should get round to updating on the last week.
Friday
Set off dans le voiture for Durham. Arrived early evening. Dinner. Drinks. Watched HSM 1 in preparation for Saturday. Lots of giggling and singing. Bed No 1 of the trip.
Saturday
Train to Newcastle. To MetroRadio Arena. Only people over the age of 10 bar parents and grandparents. Show was really good. Singing and dancing!! Lunch in Ask. Wandering round Newcastle shocked at the amount of emo kids just hanging around. People talk funny too lol. Back to Durham. Stayed in a hotel - Bed No. 2.
Sunday
Durham Cathedral. Coffee and cake. To Darlington. Lunch with Aunt, Uncle and Cousin... who is now super skinny, indie and quite handsome. Last time I saw him was at least 5 years ago. Salvation Army... not sure why I put myself through it. Hymns I didn't know, preaching and old people not talking to me once they found out I wasn't in the corps. Pizza and Calendar Girls. Bed No. 3.
Monday
Early start. Set off for Stoke. Relaxing afternoon catching up with Grandma. Dinner. Drive to Aunty J and Uncle A. I've seen the majority of my relatives in the last week!! Bed No. 4.
Tuesday
Aberystwyth!!! Arrived mid pm and just sat in my hostel room. Didn't see anyone at all. Bed No. 5.
Wednesday
Hot chocolate with Bec. Walk with Rhys. KFC with Kate, Dan and Rhys. Playing on the dance machine in the arcade. Dinner with Bec. Back to hostel for Torchwood. No Reload.
Thursday
Lunch with Nick. Coffee with Floyd. Rummers with Jade. Union. Bought Bec for £16.
Friday
Home! Long journey because of hold ups and accidents and what not.
In summary it's been an ok week. Nice to see everyone again but that also made me feel that I really really don't belong in aber anymore. Other than Bec it seemed people couldn't really be arsed to spend time with me and it was more that I was tagging along with what they were doing rather than them choosing to spend time with me. But I think I knew that all along.
Oh yeah forgot to mention... driving license... no longer clean :o(
Oops! Got pulled over on the motorway for using my phone. Slightly annoyed becasue I'd only picked it up to see who a message was from but I guess I deserved it.
And!!!! The biggest news of the week!! I have a job!!! Ok that's enough with the exclamation marks now. I got a call when I was driving home on Friday (that I didn't answer but rang back from a layby) from the agency woman telling me that based on my interviews at the end of last month I had a job!
So now from Wednesday I will be working for Proctor and Gamble as a Functional Expert. It's a posh title but I don't really know what it entails. It's a job though. And a proper one at that. The pay is not fantastic but is quite a bit better than I was on. So yeah, I'm quite excited about it. Mum and Dad are pleased as well. So much so that Dad even hugged me. And Mum bought celebratory Chinese and chocolate. Yay!
